I've heard this sentiment a lot, so I hope that it gets out there more that it is confirmed that the controllers *should* or will have better life this time around!

I mean obviously the head is gonna have access to and will be part of the people testing out and going through some stuff on the Prototype model before production officially begins

Somewhat not surprised as I was looking into it, and some of my college buddies went and got Switch's...one guy said he was trading in his Xbox One which surprised me to be honest. However, I think the Switch was due for a big Black Friday/Weekend as that price is hard to beat for the Nintendo goodness

Yeah Im honestly really excited to see what they do here, I really want a controller that does something different or unique, I want to see Sony and Microsoft branch off further from each other on what they can do with the controller

I was just about to ask about this! Cool to get some insight into it. I don't know why we take so much stock into the devkit design. Like the article showed, almost never does the final product look ANYTHING like the Devkit except for the PS2. I did not know that about the PS2 and the design!

@ Jin_Sakai now THAT looks great, and I love what they did with the mock up advertisement shot and all. I'd be quite happy with that. I actually expect Sony to do something cool with the console design again, and maybe be a little more futuristic than that evolutionary simplistic design in this concept you linked. Sony seems to be big on the design aspect of their Playstation products which I think is cool!

Pretty soon at this point I'd say

Well yeah advanced ai and physics is awewome, but I wanna see photorealistic video games being a possibility before I die okay. Graphics are one of my main drivers for immersion when I'm playing fps or shooters or a couple years from now when the next Elder Scrolls game comes out...Im looking for that deep immersion because the graphics have my jaw on the floor.

@KyRo yeah so true, games benefit more once the prev gen link is broken from the new gen. They don't have to make a game compatible with old tech and everything is just...BETTER. Agreed!

@TheRealTedCruz. Fair point I suppose! You know what I mean though maybe my memories of those games are diluted and not as cool as I remember it to be. Yes BF4 had destructive buildings and stuff too, but a lot there just wasn't the level of destruction I wish they could have. Maybe that's a next gen thing!

Kind of like how even Bad Company games had better destruction than the OMG *Levelution* in next gen games that came after it like BF4

The SSD articles are like a daily thing at this point I wish they'd just announce what exactly is in there soon!!!!

Imagine wearing a mo cap suit to film some sex scenes. Must be clunky and even more awkward than a standard movie sex scene not gonna lie.

Oldest joke in the book and yet, that fits so perfectly to this story. My gawd

I am fairly convinced this is just a coy way for him to dismiss the VR thing but AR Will potentially be a focus of Project Scarlett down the road. I can just feel it...they invested heavily in AR on the commercial side and knowing Microsoft they may try to innovate and do something different and let Sony have the VR console space.

That's totally fine with me, but at the same time I'd love to also see some competition because that makes everyone better in the end.

@ImGumbyDammit I actually really love the touchpad. Its's easy during a frantic FPS session online to click for the mini map or what have you than it is to find the button on the Xbox controller...Okay so that is SO SMALL but still I LOVE that massive touchpad there. Massively underutilized this gen by devs

Honestly as an owner of both Xbox and Playstation I don't understand where people are bashing the DS4 so much from. It's not THAT inconvenient. I MUCH prefer rechargeable controllers even though previous to this gen I much preferred having battery packs. I have 3 DS4 controllers and my favourite one I just plug in once every like 8 play sessions with before I go to University or work and when I come back it's good for another week + of gaming.

It's actually quite hard but I see your point. a 30 minute romp usually turns into an hour of trying to get to your destination but get distracted picking up extras and navigating BT territory etc. Its amazing but time consuming...I find myself having to REALLY PLAN my game session around these elements. you just CANT only put 30 mins into a game like this that involves 10 mins of loading and cutscene info here and there before you even truly get going most times.
