Honestly, There was a lot of issues with the launch controllers quit pretending like there wasn't an issue for many people. I laughed at this when people first started complaining but during the first year of daily use myself and the roommate managed to rip off the thumbstick grip on both controllers and I am not even sure HOW. All we did was play BF4 3hrs a day and treated the controllers with care..Those were the only DS4's I had an issue with. The 5 other controllers I've owned...
Never got to experience it myself but I think in the future especially with better VR it could be redone into something special. I mean just look at how popular that one VR chatroom game is that all these youtubers helped make famous. The name of what it is escapes me right now but that seems like a good thing that could help influence a PS Home 2.0 with PSVR 2.0 support!
@Rude-ro...I had the same thoughts before I signed up when it came to dlc and micro on gamepass but guess what? I got Forza Horizon 4 and all the dlc and the new Gears platinum edition and guess how much that cost me? Only the $30 for the season pass and VIP content from Forza Horizon 4 versus $240 for both games at full pop + buying the season content for each. So yeah, the monthly fee easily offset this not to mention I have about 10 games from gamepass that I was able to play including the...
Well @ThinkThink. Im a college kid that can't afford to buy many games anymore like I could when I was younger. So yes, Gamepass really does help out. I've saved 100's on games I was going to buy (Forza, Gears, Just Cause 4), and then on top of that I was able to try a couple $100's worth of games that new I could not afford to just buy and hope they were good enough and worth the very little amount of money I have to spend on games today. So yeeah, gamepass kinda IS for peopl...
Way to read the article @Christopher
Why with a protection plan? What does that do to help with your "rinse and repeat" strategy
Putting the cart before the horse here a bit, reserve judgement until both companies rip the curtain back on the full details and actually show their consoles!
My heart aches for a Killzone Reboot. That game has the chance to be something special again if they wanted to. I liked Shadowfall but I wasn't a Sony owner pre PS4 so I literally bought a PS4 for games like Killzone. I feel a little let down as someone who was so jealous as a kid that my friend had Killzone and I couldn't
I see Nintendo continuing their trend of sticking to sort of their own niche within the gaming market. They have games you just can't get from the competition and can easily sell and convince their fanbase to buy the next thing. I expect Nintendo to do like what they did with the Switch and release a next gen console in the middle of the PS5/Xbox Next generation. They'll keep occupying this unique position and not worry too much about directly competing.
I think I am excited more for the fact that Microsoft definitely learned a lesson this gen and so they are going to come out of the gate STRONG this time. They have to, and we know they will. Sony absolutely owned this generation and I hope they don't rest too easy at the beginning of next gen...I want to see some FIERCE competition because that only could mean good things for us gamers! Strong Competition is an industry driver
I would really like to see more utilization, I actually really liked the touchpad on PS4 and would have liked to have seen it utilized more. I think developers should think outside the box and be more innovative and if Sony wants to provide the opportunity to do this, then the support should be there!!
Anything for a quick click these days
THE HYPE TRAIN IS BOARDING PEOPLE
@Obscure_Observer hey come on now, I'm, certainly not a Sony defender on this site especially. That's not really how I meant things. I was never part of the Xbox bashing nor am I ever part of the Xbox bashing community since I own an Xbox and am typically more pro Xbox until this gen Sony treated me a little better and I used my Ps4 85% of the time this gen. It's all good I'm just saying it's hard to bash the fact that at least Sony is finally doing at least SOMETHING even...
Fair point, I just meant at a really surface level the way I see it is it's not something to be upset about. People should be happy Sony is at least going to spend some resources doing SOMETHING for some form of backward compat! I was being positive for them, as I own both an Xbox and PS4.
Yeah no doubt, I don't really remember that but I remember Phil Spencer as well talking about Playstation games and playing something and people giving him a hard time. I think it's not representative of EITHER fanbase tbh. It seems more like the internet trolls coming out to just make everyone look bad and turn everything into an issue when it really isn't. It's naive to assume these guys don't check out their competition. I wouldn't be upset at Sony for doing the sam...
Really thinking we are gonna see 499-599 mark or somewhere between. I'm fairly convinced the Xbox will come in slightly below this gen.
It would be unfair to attack Playstation for this since Xbox has been doing the same with their backwards compat....it's a work in progress. We can only be happy as gamers that they even WANT to try and allow backwards compat for us to enjoy.
Exactly, gonna be hard not to. This gen was the first time I got an Xbox and Playstation day 1. I see no reason for me to NOT go crazy and get a launch PS5 again, especially after how valued I felt as a new Sony customer this gen.
Still be a lot cooler if it was somewhat more authentic. Main gripe against BFV.
