Yeah Im glad they kept a realistic mode but they should just stick to their guns. At least this was a change toward a better gameplay experience

Well at the time post 360 they really were. They were just quite wrong with how the consumer would react.
The beauty in that disaster is it will make Xbox stronger learning from past failure and being given the smackdown by the PS4 this gen. There is good from failure and from all the Sony fanboys screaming MUH GAMES. It should give Microsoft a real awakening for the next gen. I fully expect them to go in guns blazing this time around.
The title made me think this was totally fake but OH MY GOD. The NOSTALGIA. First RPG type game I ever played as a kid. my god I loved Oblivion so much.
Just playing to the times and trying to virtue signal for EA...although DICE is gonna pay the price here. It's sad. Hopefully they can manage to redeem themselves.

And now they're nickel and diming for "Hero characters" that was the final straw for me. I stopped playing BFV after DICE went from my favourite dev to one I don't respect. I actually really enjoyed BF1 even though things were already starting to slip. I just can't believe they'd make a game with so many well thought out multiplayer details and great lead ins to Operations and basically cut all the good stuff out and replace it with some crappy shell of a game like B...

This gen I bought both because I was a Microsoft believer after how much fun I had on the 360 and yeah...I just found myself until recently I probably did 80% of my gaming on the PS4. I bought the PS4 for the exclusives and still ended up playing most multiplats on there instead of the Xbox. Hard to believe all it takes for me is a Halo game to make me wanna stay on Xbox even when Sony KILLED IT this gen. The problem is that they were asked, therefore they responded. I don't really see this as Virtue Signalling in this case as it's not as blatant as when DICE was all like INCLUSIVE BF online for alll yayyyyyyy.
This is a big part of what interests me with PS5 to be honest. I feel like I should cut back to just one console, and depending on what is on offer, it could be tough to pick. Sony treated me really well this gen as a previously non-Sony kinda guy, so it would be hard to pass over the PS5. PSVR 2.0 could definitely shift my perspective if it delivers the goods.

Agreed, pretty sad when BF1 felt like it had much greater moments on a much larger scale. I find BF5 to be such a massive letdown even these new maps aren't pulling me in and I am a long time "BF Veteran". Not sure what my hours were in the old games but I put 780hours into BF4 so....yeah.
