I'll take the botched BF4 launch an infinite amount before I'd take BFV again.
I didn't experience as many issues as others, that's not to say I didn't experience a couple big game crashes or pop in on games like golmud (audio and graphics) but I still ended up spending 780 hours in that game and am going back to it lately again. BFV is probably my least played BF game since I started playing any of them. It makes me sad, sometimes I like the game, but i...
I feel this on a deep level
So this next gen might turn out a lot like last gen did....the jump from 1080p to 4k or 4k checkerboard later in the gen. Of course 4k-8k is a much bigger leap I assume in technological advancement given where 8k is right now (not consumer viable yet??)...but I guess what I am saying is this time around 4k with better framerates we will probably be happy for most of the gen until 8k with better framerates becomes a reality.
The Chinese are infamous for disregarding IP laws and all that good stuff. Probably stole the logo without even a second thought. The irony is palpable.
And weird AF
Really interesting as an Xbox owner at the time. This game had captured my interest as a kid but I never got a chance to play it. Being on PS4 and soon possibly PS5, I would love to see this franchise brought back to life. I imagine with the power of next gen it would be really quite fun.
From what I hear and what I remember, this game was FAR ahead of it's time. A real shame it never truly took off from my understanding.
Hahaha oh my god, fail. As a massive Halo fan I should have remembered that. Ignore my comment then!
This title was a bit misleading but maybe that's me overthinking before the click. I thought this was referring to someone recently leaving because of the Halo 6 development cycle. Again like I said maybe just overthinking but that's how the title felt to me.
I feel the same way, it's been such a long wait and any moment now we are going to finally see a full reveal...but I just want to see both companies pull the cover back already
Regardless of what people are saying, I am hopeful. I remember the early days of PS4 and thinking Battlefield 4 had such amazing graphics...and I have recently gone back to play the game lots and I notice just how not amazing it is anymore!
I really think with next gen we are going to see some really nice new visuals that will still excite and impress, and as we know, as time goes on into the next gen it will only improve. I would offer to simply look at what Sony was able ...
@ArmyVetGamer hate to burst your bubble but even my long time loyal Sony or Die buddy thinks they need to get with the times and update their ancient UI. I like it in some ways...I LOVE LOVE LOVED the custom theme things like with the BF 1 preorder where it gave you these cool alternate logos for the different menu options and the cover characters cape moving and the unique music....However I think I have always just preferred Microsoft's way of doing things; constant change and revamping...
For me, it's never truly died. Yes games like RUSE are more one dimensional but I absolutely loved that game, and same goes for Men of War: Assault Squad II...I always play Men of War with a friend online and when we start to overdo it we switch back to AOE II Definitive! I feel like the next ten years are hopefully promising, especially since we are going to kick off with AOE IV!
@Palitera to consider the Elite controller irrelevant is a massive oversight
I really want to believe with all the time they will have and the past failed or not as good experiences on recent games will push them back towards those days of releasing a truly compelling game during the next era. Like when Oblivion came out it was such an incredible achievement really for the Xbox 360 and Skyrim was fantastic but a little watered down.
I just feel like they can take those experiences of once being super respected and turn it around again. Things can ch...
Wouldn't it? I really would like to see Starfield come out sooner than later but first we need to see what this game even is I suppose!!
The brand is so strong right now and Sony has developed a real identity that is solidified..and so to me...much like the Apple logo, the font for PS3/PS4 and now PS5 is just ingrained and iconic really.
Agreed, I feel like the potential of this game could be limitless. This game has been one I've really been anticipating for a long time now. To see what some of the creative minds out there come up with!
This is hard because I fondly remember Bad Company 2, but I spent the most time in BF 3 4 and I.
I think BF 4 was my favourite only because of how much sheer time I spent in that game with me and my best friend putting in just short of 800 hours on it because we were so addicted to it.
Never thought of this before but it is certainly intriguing
I really would love to see China or Japan
That's truly it, something seems amiss. the things you list are not the problem, it truly is the gameplay itself to me.
