I don't understand why this game is different than any other game.
It's probably harder to find a game where every single pre release thing turned out to be exactly accurate than it is to find others like No Man's Sky.
Everybody lies, inflates the truth, shows doctored screenshots, shows footage that isn't quite accurate, scripted events that make things look more dynamic than they really are, or promises features that aren't in the fi...
Just for the record, I am normally accused of being an Xbox Fanboy and I bought No Mans Sky on PS4 and I love it.
;-)
I'm super excited to see more of Horizon: Zero Dawn.
But I couldn't possibly be less interested in anything else that Sony has in the pipeline.
VR doesn't interest me any more than motion control games did, and I'm sick of the broody depressing stories Sony has been doing lately, so Days Gone doesn't do anything for me.
It's all about Horizon for me. And I have no problem waiting for it.
I don't think there should be refunds at all unless a game is completely unplayable.
There are thousands of review sites, youtube channels, and twitch streamers out there, and if you can't be bothered to wait and see if the game is what you want or not, then that isn't Sony or Steam's responsibility to give you your money back.
Totally agreed. I'm disappointed that people are even TRYING to get a refund after that long.
I've never tried to get a refund on a game in my life, and I've bought some real turds over the years. It's just the way it goes. You win some, you lose some.
It's funny how this game worked out from the initial reveal to post release.
I was vocally confused by it back in the early days, with my question being "wha...
EDMIX, I'll agree with you about the "world" the game is set in. It's really well done. I love the lore and the people and all of that stuff. The quest were well written and the dialogue was good. It's just the actual "playing" part of the game that was terrible.
Starchild, name any western style RPG and chances are I think it has better gameplay than Witcher 3. The only one I can think of that is worse is probably Two Worlds.
...
Agreed. It's one of the worst RPG's I've ever played. I've been trying for a year to figure out why it is so well liked.
God, that combat.... It's really just barely this side of unplayable...
And nothing ever changes because you gain almost no new abilities the whole game...
I really had to force myself to finish it. I wanted to see the end but my god it was hard to slog through those last few hours.
...
Yup.
This is what happens when game Developers listen to the haters instead of the fans.
Everyone that complained about the first game succeeded in getting them to make a CoD clone. Congrats guys, you just ruined a great new game series.
2 seconds to change a battery that requires using a screwdriver to open the controller because it isn't meant to be removed?
You must be amazing.
Not really. Just overhyped and everyone refused to believe what the game was really going to be.
Lots of people tried to temper expectations and got ganged up on and shut down, because this game was on PS4 and NOT Xbox One, so OF COURSE it was going to be amazing and the best game ever.
The people that knew what it was all along are the ones that aren't asking for refunds, because they got what they expected.
Sounds like they ruined everything that made it unique. :(
It's the best controller I've ever used, hands down, no contest.
I can't help but laugh every time I see somebody complain because it uses "batteries", as if that is a negative thing.
You realize that the PS4 controller uses a battery, too, right? It's just built in, not meant to be replaced, and crappy.
I'll never understand how anyone thinks that is preferable. Get yourself a set of rechargeable AA'...
I saw some kind of spider-crab thing that was about the size of a truck, but nothing quite like this yet.
Some of the small mutant creatures I've seen so far make me wonder if I really WANT to see the big versions of them. lol
I'm guessing that first part was sarcasm.
Uth11 here is a source that compiles everything they lied about if you're interested enough to read it.

Before you call me a fanboy or claim I'm hating on the game I just bought it a couple days ago, AFTER reading all the negative stuff about it, and I like the game just fine.
It's not a 9/10 game, it shouldn't ha...
I wish they would add in quests.
Just simple stuff.
Meet an alien in a base, he says "hey my buddy at the space station a couple star systems away needs 250 titanium, think you could hook him up?"
Then you go there and he gives you something better than you'd have gotten for just selling the same supplies. A blueprint, a suit upgrade, a new multi-tool, or even just more money than the supplies are worth to sell them.
I actually picked this up a couple days ago. Curiosity got the best of me and I just really wanted to try it.
I've been pretty outspoken about it for awhile, thinking it would not be my style of game, just due to the open endedness of it, and not having a series of missions and goals to follow.
Then when it came out, I knocked it for basically being about shooting rocks, so you can fly to another planet and shoot more rocks.
Now ...
How do we know that any of this stuff ever got properly saved?
Maybe the online servers were down at the time when he named this stuff originally?
I decided to pick this up on PS4 a couple days ago and I've noticed the message at the bottom of the screen multiple times that the "online services are down", and wondered what exactly that means for discoveries.
Let's be honest, though, the whole discovery thing is mostly...
boo.
Yeah he said he'd had it for 48 hours, he said nothing about how long he'd actually used the controller.
My DS4 can be on 3 bars for a couple months if I don't use my PS4 at all.
Just saying.... I'm sure it's better, but don't go getting crazy till we see it for real.
