They are talking about stuff like people that board a ship and just kill the player(s) on that ship repeatedly as they respawn.

Not stealing treasure or sinking the ship, just killing the player repeatedly.

Since there is no reward for killing players, they are just doing it to ruin that player's fun, hence "griefing".

corroios you need some reading comprehension.

They said 2 million players. Which obviously counts game pass. Those are players.

They said fastest selling new IP. Which does not count game pass because it's not a sale.

They never said 2 million sales anywhere.

You're just 100% incorrect and all the fanboys are upvoting your incorrectness.

This is the problem with this website. It makes...

OffRoadKing that argument only works if people only play exclusive games and nothing else.

Far Cry 5 came out yesterday for instance.

I don't understand why you Sony guys forget that other games exist besides the exclusive titles.

Syndicate was really good.

Better than 3 and Unity for sure.

I despised the combat in Origins, so I'd say it's better than that as well.

Yeah I know right? It deserves at least a 9.

I played it at launch, haven't played it since they added a bunch of things.

What the hell game did you guys play?

Please tell me what kind of quests it had.

Fix your ship, build a warpdrive, head to the center of the universe if you want to. That was it as far as I can remember.

My PS ID is UnHoly_One if you feel the need to have proof that I played it.

Except none of that is true.

That's a great game but it's wildly different from SoT.

About the only thing they have in common is Cannonballs.

3007d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

I really don't get why people keep saying this.

Please explain to me how NMS had more to do than SoT?

The only thing resembling a quest was to grab a couple things so your ship could fly, and get a hyperdrive. Then it is just get resources, go to a new planet, get resources, etc.

SoT has more content in the first 30 minutes, when you have actual missions to do and you're playing with your friends while doing it.

He's incorrect.

No Mans Sky had no quests, and no mutiplayer of any kind.

It was a neat game but it had nothing to do except gather resources so you could fly somewhere and gather more resources.

This game trounces it.

Your understanding of the game is severely lacking.

There are a few tiny islands like you described, but the large majority of them are huge, plenty big enough to get completely lost on.

I've played 50 or so hours thus far and haven't done the same exact thing twice yet, so I'd say it's doing pretty good on content.

Don't believe everything you read. Play it and decide for yourself.

Who in the world is playing this game to talk to NPCs? lol

You click on them to get a mission or buy an item, that's it.

I'm not playing this to have a conversation with the barmaid.

Christ, I haven't even clicked on any of the dialogue options since they added that in the last beta build, they are pointless. lol

Careful, your bias is showing.

This website likes an Xbox game that is getting average reviews elsewhere, and failed to rave about one of your favorite PS exclusives, so obviously the website is trash now and their opinion is useless?

Seriously, listen to yourself.

I think what he was going for wasn't about the number of games on Playstation, rather the fact that most PS games are one-and-done single player games that can be completed in a few days and then that's it.

For example, I loved Horizon: Zero Dawn, and I've played it twice to completion, including the Frozen Wilds the second playthrough.

But I've already put nearly as much time into SoT in just a week, and I'll be playing it for quite a...

The problem with comparing this game to Destiny, or most any game for that matter, is the "sameness" of the content in Destiny.

If you do a strike in Destiny 50 times, it's essentially the same every time.

If you do 50 SoT treasure quests, they are all wildly different based on location and any number of things you encounter along the way. Different islands, different weather conditions, other players, skeletons or not, etc...

I enjoy playing solo when my friends aren't online.

It's better with friends, but I don't get the "it's boring solo." I still enjoy it.

Monster Hunter was more fun solo to me, honestly. I liked it both ways, but co-op didn't really add much for me.

I'm not overlooking anything, it's not a big deal to me if it is getting some low scores.

I admit that the missions are all very basic and are all variations on the same repetitive concept. "Go here, grab thing, take to outpost, profit"

I don’t disagree with that at all. It’s just that it doesn’t matter, because the act of doing those things is so unpredictably random and so much fun that it doesn’t really feel like doing the exact sam...

This is one of my favorite games in recent years.

I expected the hate on this site, as everyone here seems to be primarily single player focused, and that is not an option in this game, even if you choose to sail alone.

The randomness of what can happen when other players are around is part of what makes the game so much of a joy to play.

I absolutely just love everything about it.

@Foxtrot I have no idea what your analogy is supposed to mean, but I'm confident that it doesn't make any sense.
