Not all of their games need to be the same.
What I find ironic about all of this is that, for years, people have been bitching about modern games all being the same. Everything has to have RPG elements, everything is an open world with a big map littered with objectives, everything has to have loot collection, etc, etc, etc...
This game goes against all of that stuff and says here you go, here is a game that is just solely about having fun.

It mentions resources, and says they didn't fix that.
And it mentions one comment that said "YOUR GAME IS BORING" in all caps, but that doesn't really tell me much and probably didn't help them a lot either.

Grubster I don't believe every single negative thing about the game is because of MS Haters.
The reviews are what they are. And while I would give the game a different score, most of the text of the reviews is fair. The missions are repetitive, there is no progression, etc... That's all accurate. I just don't care because it's so much fun it doesn't matter.
My comments about Anti MS bias were in reference to the ridiculous comments...
Reality?
The reality is that myself and (so far) 9 of my friends have all been playing it and having a great time all week.
The game is fun as hell. I'm sorry you hate it so much.
Of course I'm assuming most of the people on here hating it haven't even tried it for themselves.
Kids these days can't play a game if it doesn't require an excel spreadsheet to track your stats.
Listen, I like complicated RPGs as much as the next guy, but why is it so wrong for a game to just be "fun"?

We are all loving it.

Yes, it may all be various forms of "go here, grab X, deliver it here", but the very act of getting there and all the random things that can happen if you encounter other players keeps it interesting.
It's one of the most fun games I've ever played with a group of friends.

You are insane. None of those things define what a game is.
Not every game has to be an RPG where you level up and get better weapons and no skills.
There is no progression by design, so that everyone is always on a level playing field. Same weapons, same ships, same abilities.

I've liked games before that had bad reviews, but this one really blows me away.
I'm not disagreeing with most of the things mentioned in the reviews, it's just that they don't really matter because the game is so much fun. It's a blast.

I guess I missed the memo when we all decided that a game being fun wasn't good enough.
Despite all the negative things anyone can say about the game, it just absolutely fun as hell to play it with your friends.
We've been having a blast. We aren't bitching about the quests being similar, we aren't complaining about lack of customization items, or whatever else. We are just playing, and having fun.

Well that sounds depressing.
That's mathematically impossible that they have "ran out of things" to buy.
I played for hours both Monday night and Tuesday night and earned about 10,000 gold or so. Some of the items are much more than that just for one item.
There are ship customizations that are 70,000. Nobody has purchased everything. No way.
