PSN doesn't give you free games, it's a rental service.
XBL actually does give away free games now, if you want to make those comparisons.
But honestly, that isn't the type of thing I was talking about. I'm talking about the features of the online service itself, how smooth it works and how easy it is to hook up with friends, etc...
XBL is light-years beyond PSN. Those of you disagreeing have either not used XBL very much ...
"PSN service is just as good and in some cases better then XBL"
LMFAO
No. Just No.
To this day, PSN is not even comparable to where XBL was when the 360 launched 8 years ago.
It's not that your argument isn't valid, it's just not a very realistic scenario for most people.
Most people don't play ONLY exclusive Sony games, or ONLY exclusive Xbox games, so not taking the multiplats into consideration is not painting the whole picture.
I'm not sure I believe that multiplats will look better on the PS4 this gen either. I mean, Ryse already looks better than anything on the PS4, so I'm not convinced of this huge...
Sony has some great developers, no doubt, but there is more to a console than the exclusive games. I wish Sony fans would come up with a better argument to support the system they love so much.
Here is the point I am trying to make. Out of ALL the games released for the PS3, how many of them were exclusives? Less than 1%, I'm guessing?
So, you are basing your console of choice on that 1% of games, correct?
Well maybe I'm nuts, but ...
I'm excited to get my hands on this.
I keep finding less reason to keep my PS4 pre-order. There is nothing to play until infamous comes out, anyway.
And MS is right. So far XB1 games look better.
I'm finding it quite hilarious watching all the "greatness awaits" fanboys coming up with excuses why their "40% more powerful" console can't match up with that inferior "cable box" console.
I was happy with the XB1 knowing I'd have the best c...
So a little indie game with some flashy particle effects uses HALF the power of the PS4???
That's not very encouraging.
Oops, posted on wrong story.
Except that XB1 friends list isn't really limited to 1000.
It works like Twitter rather than a traditional friends list. You can only "follow" 1000 people, but you can have unlimited "followers".
So somebody like Major Nelson could have 500,000 followers on XBL just like he does on Twitter, for instance.
BlueBlood, no I haven't tried the new controllers or the new online service.
The controllers I don't need to hold to know which one I will like better because Sony is still putting the left stick in the wrong place. So that's a no brainer for me.
As for the online service, I'm kind of going on two different things, there. One being the fact that XBL blows PSN out of the water right now, so I'm just assuming it will stay in the lead. <...
Fear?
Defeat?
See this is what I don't get about the whole console wars argument. I don't "fear" anything, and no matter what happens, I won't "suffer defeat".
I don't care which console sells more. I'm buying them both. I'll use my Xbox 100 times more, but I couldn't give two craps about sales figures.
Here is how I look at it. Xbox One is in no way going to fail so bad tha...
This is twice I've seen somebody post one of these "Games like _____" articles, and both times I think most of the games are almost NOTHING like the game in question. lol
Singularity is an old school linear shooter. Comparing it to Dead Space, Borderlands, or BioShock is ridiculous. Aside from the FPS viewpoint (which Dead Space doesn't even have), they aren't alike at all.
Especially when it is one that completely invalidates your TV in the process.
I have no desire to spend hundreds on something that will also make it impossible to use my 2300 dollar TV.
Plus it would completely remove me from my surroundings, making me unable to interact with my girlfriend. It's bad enough sometimes trying not to "neglect" her when I'm also in game chat, and that's just a little speech coming through one ear.
...
If anyone had any doubts about the childishness of the Sony fanboys on this site, look above at the two consecutive posts by J-R and JokesOnYou.
Both essentially say "to me price doesn't matter, I want my console of choice".
The difference is that one of them is Pro PS4 and one is Pro XB1.
As of right now, the pro PS4 post has 28 agrees and 0 disagrees, because it was a nice fair non-fanboy statement, and even the Xbox fans appr...
This actually works out really well for me. It gives me a week to tinker around with my PS4 before it collects dust for six months until inFAMOUS comes out. lol
I'm just playing around, don't crucify me.
I still wish they hadn't changed.
Septic the number of disagrees you have is a depressing reminder of how fanatical the fanboys on this site are.
The only person I see speaking sense and being unbiased, and you have a 4 to 1 ratio of disagrees to agrees.
All because you aren't spouting Sony propaganda or spelling out Doom and Gloom for Microsoft.
I wish there were more people like you on this website.
He should have been more specific?? What the hell are you even talking about??
He was plenty specific, and the article itself fully explained everything that wasn't covered in the exact quote from him.
It was all laid out for you in a very easy to understand manner, you just chose to ignore it and jump right into insane fanboy mode.
Here's a little word of advice, Allformats.
Before you jump into an article and attempt to be the first comment, while also being a huge Sony Fanboy, it might help if you read the article first in order to avoid looking like a complete idiot.
The guy isn't lying, and your comment makes no sense, because he is talking about one very specific aspect of Xbox when he says they are more "open". One specific aspect that has absolutely zero to do ...
I can verify that that is incorrect, newmonday.
All of my friends thought the PS3 was a junk system that unfortunately had 6 or 7 really good games.
All of those same friends have zero interest in a PS4.
Maybe we aren't clogging up Internet forums as if our opinions represent everyone, but we are definitely out there.
