I have no doubt that the PS4 is a more capable machine. No need to get all defensive about it.
However, specs alone do not a great system make. Xbox has the advantage of have the best online service and the best controller. I'd say that should count for something.
And I don't need any indie devs to tell me what kind of FPS they can get on the XB1. I'll stick to worrying about real games.

I don't deny for a second that the PS4 is a more powerful console. The PS3 was more powerful than the 360, as well.
My point is that doesn't make it a "better" console. That part is subjective, and depends on the player's personal likes and dislikes.
If "more powerful" automatically makes it better, then I have to ask you why you aren't gaming on PC??
Give me a way to play PS3 or PS4 with an Xbox controller and I'll be damned happy.
I know that everything is "new", but that doesn't mean you can't go on past trends.
The controller is easy. PS still puts the left stick in the wrong place (for me), so there is no doubt in my mind I'll like the XB1 controller better, even without having tried it first.

I am not overly pleased with how everything is looking thus far, but I can't abandon Xbox just because for me personally, I like XBL so much more.
The controller, achievements, the way the OS works... everything.
I really, really, absolutely LOVED some PS3 games this gen, but every time I finished one up and went back to my 360 I was always glad to be back.
