I remember it the other way around.
The majority of the people on here were complaining about Tomb Raider being full price and they were vowing not to buy it.
I don't know, I don't really see it.
CoD is dominated by snipers and campers, and it's all about Killstreaks. This game has none of that.
I just don't see how it is any more like CoD than it is like Battlefield, or like Crysis, or like Halo.
It's a shooter, of course, but that is where the similarities end.
Not to mention that the whole "more comfortable" thing is going to vary wildly from person to person.
I think the PS4 controller is one of the most uncomfortable and awkward controllers I've ever used. And I hate the touchpad.
But that's all just personal opinion.
It's almost nothing like CoD.
That's generally how opinions work.
He believes it is awesome and controls better than other FPS games.
I believe he's right.
It's all opinion.
Go troll somewhere else, Hicken.
In a "normal" setup, I agree with having the wires hidden, but in this setup, the wires are actually part of the "decoration" so to speak.
It's like a work of art.
I like it. I wouldn't do it myself, though, I have too many components to make it look that fancy. 4 consoles instead of one for instance.
The good thing would be that it would be much easier to reach everything when you wanted to make a change.
I think the "on it's side" thing only applies to the optical drive when it is spinning a disc.
If this guy is like me that is a non-issue. I don't put discs into my XB1 or PS4. lol
I wish they didn't have optical drives at all, quite honestly.
Just seemed odd to me. I never once have pre-planned to trade in a game that isn't out yet.
But I don't have the Naughty Dog bug like everyone else here, either. I don't think their games are anything special.
I never even noticed it didn't have a private match option.
I haven't played a private match on an online shooter since halo 2.
I'd rather just play with my friends against other people. That's just me of course, I'm not saying the option shouldn't be there at all. I just personally don't miss it.
You're already planning to trade in a game you haven't even played yet for a re-release of one that you've already played?
It's an Xbox game, of course I got disagrees.
People love to hate Ryse, for whatever reason.
Everyone saw QTE's in the original demo and automatically condemned it.
I don't understand it, but whatever.
Solo Arena is tough with the starting gear.
It's much better and more fun in co-op, not to mention there is a lot more variety in the maps, as only 4 of them are playable solo.
Good article.
I loved Ryse.
With multiple playthroughs of the campaign, and being over level 120 in multiplayer, I'm not ashamed to admit I have spent over 100 hours on it so far.
And there is still more season pass DLC coming. :)
Ultranova, I thought that Tomb Raider "definitive edition" was full price at 60.
And I know for sure that I remember nearly EVERYONE complaining about it.
Not sure why this game would get a pass for doing the same thing, except because well, you know... It's Sony, so.... All hail.
That game was awesome.
No I never said that.
Don't assume that just because I don't believe in one thing, I automatically believe in the other.
I don't think they are "functionally the same", though, either.
I think cloud computing could certainly be used in certain specific ways to do things in the background that aren't affected by the lag involved. What those things could be, I have no idea because I don't pretend to be a programme...
Too late to edit, but I looked up what the share button double-tap does and I don't get the point of it.
How do I know something awesome is about to happen before it happens? Why do I want a quick way to START a video clip?
That doesn't even make sense.
The main thing about VR that will keep it from being a hit is that it is inherently anti-social.
It's a solo experience, period.
You can't play a game wearing a VR headset and still engage with other people in the room. Nobody else in the room can see your screen, and assuming you are wearing headphones for audio, they can't hear your game either.
I just plain cannot imagine anyone playing games on a VR setup unless they are kids...
What does double-tapping the share button do?
I can barely press the thing once, much less double-tap, the way it is inset into the controller shell.
God I hate the design of both that and the options button. Hate it.
Agreed. Cockpit view for a racing game, or flight simulator is the only thing I can see working well.
UNLESS you strap yourself into one of those omnidirectional treadmill things, I don't get how an FPS will feel right at all.
I don't get the appeal of having this super immersive display, but then your movement is still controlled via conventional mouse/keyboard. It just doesn't appeal to me at all.
