I've had Xbox Live Gold since day one on the Original Xbox (before it was even called "gold"). It'll be 12 years this November 15th.
During that time I've had vacations, or gone long periods of time without playing multiplayer at all.
I never once though of putting my Gold account on "hold" since I wasn't using it. It's so ridiculously cheap I forget I'm even paying for it. The monthly cost is less than a pack...

If I do hold off on one at launch, I usually watch for it and grab it on a sale or when it starts dropping in price. So I still usually have it before it goes "free".
The only game I've ever gotten off of PS+ that falls into that category was Spec Ops: The Line, and I obviously didn't want it too bad because I still haven't made any attempt to play it. lol
I'm not changing any tune.
It's a rental service, same as PS+.
Either way it is mostly irrelevant to me as I buy games long before they "give" them away.
Unless it is something I don't want, but I still don't want it even if it is "free", so it makes no difference to me.

I think the DS4 is the worst controller I've ever used (Yes, even worse that the previous champion, the DS3), but that's just my opinion.

I'm the same way, UltimateGamer. I just prefer the Xbox experience over the Playstation brand. I own both, but I can't bring myself to play anything on a PS console unless I don't have the choice of having it on Xbox at all. Hell, just this past week I bought I Bound by Flame on the 360 rather than the PS4 for that very reason.

I'm sure it's cheaper on 360 and PS4 for two reasons:
1) They already had the game running on those consoles, they just needed to add the new content.
2) People on the 360 and PS4 already have access to the base game, so it probably wouldn't have went over very well to sell this version at full price.

That kind of thing has been happening every year for as long as I can remember paying attention to E3 and other game expos.

To some people it is definitely more about not wanting the "other side" to have any good games. It's sad.
It's funny, though, I don't see as much of this from the Xbox side. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but it seems to be less pronounced. Or maybe it's just the websites I frequent.

Second Son is terrible compared to the first two games.
Other than the pretty graphics, it had very little going for it. I have rarely been so disappointed in a game.
I don't understand the people that are shocked that these games are being compared.
They are both open world games that emphasize crazy unrealistic freedom of movement. Yeah maybe this guy doesn't have "super powers", but his weapons and abilities are obviously not based on reality either.

The combat system is the biggest weakness, IMO.
I hate when people say this:
"we all know that ps4 will have the better exclusives"
Because "WE" don't all know that. Some people might just flat out dislike Sony's games. Others might like Halo or Gears so much that nothing else matters.
