Microsoft: "We're going to change everything you asked us to change"
Sony Fans: "Screw you for changing, you Hypocrites!!"
Me: "WTF?"
I am probably in the minority, but from a gameplay perspective, each Mass Effect was WAY better than it's predecessors.
Yes it was more "actiony" and it was amazing.
It's a shame they completely ruined the story in the end because the gameplay had finally reached it's full potential.
The multiplayer in 3 was the best part of the whole series. It was amazing with a team of friends.
Yes, that is what gaming journalism has come to.
A game being a system seller is just a matter of personal taste, though. To somebody else, Dead Rising might be their favorite game series ever.
To me, for instance, last gen Dragons Dogma was probably my favorite game of the entire console generation. You can bet I'd buy whatever console Dragons Dogma 2 was exclusive to without hesitation.
And what about Resident Evil? Granted, those games aren't what they used to be, and they aren't my thing...
AndrewLB, maybe a little off topic, but that's the best comment I've ever read on this website.
I'd give you 20 bubbles for that if I could. I'm just glad somebody else sees him for what he is.
Now, on topic, everyone else pretty much covered it. Link is white. That's how he was created, why would anyone want to change that?
You what E3 stands for, right?
Exceptional Elephant Extravaganza
I'm fine with no snow.
I have enough trouble racing on a dry course, I don't need anything making it harder to stay on the road. lol
High hopes for this game. I really think it is going to be something special.
And perhaps more importantly, something DIFFERENT. :)
I loved Ryse. I bought the season pass, and I've played dozens of hours of multiplayer with my friends.
If you don't like it, that's fine, and I'm not saying it's GOTY material, but it is FUN, and I enjoy it immensely.
I also enjoyed many other games that didn't exactly receive glowing reviews, (Too Human, Alpha Protocol) and none of it had anything to do with defending my decision to buy a console.
As for The Order...
Why is everyone convinced this is some giant conspiracy and that they are intentionally holding anything back?
Maybe they did the best they could, and PS4 couldn't reach a solid 60 fps without sacrificing something else, so they chose to cap them both at 30, rather than have the PS4 version's framerate jumping around like crazy. (Like inFAMOUS: SS, for instance)
I just refuse to believe in all of the conspiracy theories some of you are so fond of. ...
I keep hearing people say this, but I had the opposite reaction.
I was excited about the game, but then I played the Alpha and thought it was one of the most boring and bland games I've ever played.
It completely turned me off on the game, and now I'm just going to pass on it completely, unless a bunch of my friends get it and talk me into it for co-op.
Agreed.
It's very boring and bland.
If you thought Borderlands was boring you need to stay far away from this game. lol
I have spent over a thousand hours playing Borderlands and Borderlands 2. I love those games.
I played the Destiny Alpha over the weekend and it just about put me to sleep. It's like Borderlands without all the personality and craziness that makes it fun and entertaining.
Seriously, Destiny is like a digital sleeping pill.
I am glad somebody else isn't just blindly loving the game.
It bored me to tears.
I really wanted to love it.
I'm a Halo fan, and I love Borderlands, but this just seems to combine the two styles, while lacking the personality of either. It was just SO bland.
He didn't say anything like that, he just said it was rare.
Implying that maybe the higher level players have a good Heavy weapon, but if the ammo is rare they can't run around using it all the time.
It was unique.
And it was fun as hell.
So yeah, I'd say it was damn good. :)
That update will free up a little GPU power that was held in reserve until now.
It doesn't magically put it to use, though. The developer has to code their game to take advantage of it.
Maybe they are using it, maybe they aren't, but the fact of the matter is it is up to Insomniac how they want to game to look and how many enemies and explosions they want to have on the screen at once. Not to mention 8 player co-op.
Maybe the update...
"a 'comparable' game such as inFAMOUS SS owns Sunset Overdrive."
In what way?
Graphics? Maybe, it depends on what you like. inFAMOUS was certainly gorgeous.
Gameplay and Fun? I sort of doubt it. inFAMOUS: SS was awful. It can't hold a candle to the first two games. Horrible side missions, boring story, bland characters...
inFAMOUS: SS was a graphical showpiece, but that's it. I'm a huge...
The only reason they are calling this an Alpha is because next month is the Beta.
If you think they are still going to do massive work on the game between now and September you are dreaming.
Because in this day and age of entitlement everyone complains about everything, and expects every developer to cater directly to their needs.
