Looks very impressive.
M$ probably still had some old units to get rid of, and the bundle was a sneaky way of doing so. Besides, it's not like the holiday bundle has some special packaging. It's just a few stickers slapped on a regular 360 box.
Glad the 360 in my holiday bundle wound up being a Falcon.
The scores weren't really that bad for this game, and I really enjoyed my time w/the demo. I plan on picking this up when the price drops to around $20-$30.
...on a system that charges me for online play. If the system is choking after two years of being out, how bad will things get in another 1-2 years?
This is so unfair it's criminal. PS3 gets Darth Vader, while the 360 version gets boring Yoda. The 360 really got hosed on this deal.
Still, I really wanted KRATOS! Namco better put him in the next game.
are usually the ones that aren't rushed to release at the same time as the movie. They're also the ones that have a solid developer behind them. So that's two strikes against Sega's Hulk game right off the bat.
Just buy the SF Alpha collection for PS2 and play it on your PS3. This isn't rocket science folks.
..only comes around once a console cycle anymore. It's not like Madden, Tony Hawk, and Megaman where there's ten versions per console life cycle. Plus Mario games usually try new things, and are quite simply fun to play. The majority of my gaming collection is composed of violent shooters, but popping in Mario Galaxy was a breath of fresh air. Mario is forever.
I realize this is just one member of a team, but this guy's credentials are very weak. The Hulk game sounds like it's been passed off to the lowest common donominator to make a quick buck. Sad.
They should've never accepted the $150 million from HDDVD. Now they're stuck having to release movies on a dead format.
...Microsoft doesn't OWN Mass Effect. How hard is this to understand? Microsoft bought the publishing rights. Publishing rights don't suddenly give them control over the property!
EA OWNS Mass Effect. EA calls the shots, not Microsoft.
Just like I said; they can make Mass Effect on PS3 if they want to. It never mattered that Microsoft was publishing the game. Mass Effect is a big new IP for EA, and you'd better believe that it'll be on PS3. It might be ported over by some other developer, but it'll come guaranteed. EA didn't buy these guys just to have them release their games on one system.
It never really stood a chance. That $150 million bribe to Paramount means nothing as well, as they'll be on the BluRay bandwagon as soon as they can.
Microsoft canceling Goldeneye for XBLA at the last minute?! You really have to wonder why as this would be a HUGE game for them. Maybe it'll be an unlockable in Perfect Dark 2?
The bit about Sony teaming with a major third party publisher to remake older games sounds interesting. Hopefully it's Capcom or Sega.
I also can't believe that Microsoft is already planning a game for their next system! The frickin' 360 is only two years old! Don't tell me they're planning on stiffing...
Yeah, PSN is far superior. Hop online and see everything my friends are playing. Send them an invite, and off we go chatting away on our headsets as we play and..hey wait a second...PSN is nothing like that.
..and we got that for free. I don't see what some of you are crying about. You're getting a free XBLA game because of some minute disruption of service. It's not like LIVE completely shut down or anything. Just goes to show that some people will never be happy no matter what.
It's obviously (if it's even real) a very very early shot that's pribably going to be picked apart by PS3 haters for having "crappy graphics".
I won't bother checking out more screens until the game will actually look like the game I'll be playing when it releases.
It's been known forever now that Sony is a little more flexible than Microsoft when it comes to their online programs.
It's more of a quality issue than anything else since Microsoft has to make sure everything jives with LIVE. Not a big deal.
Forget the lame waggle crap that's only good in a few games. Achievements are the coolest addition to gaming. For once I agree with Bladestar; I've gotten more mileage out of my games because of the lure of increasing my gamerscore. Anything that increases replay value in the games I own is a good thing. At least that's how I look at it.
It's nice that Nintendo copied the idea in Metroid and Sony copied it in Uncharted and Resistance, but it's pointless if it's only one or two games ...
I couldn't resist. I broke down and picked Lost Planet up for $23 and am happy I did. I wasn't overly crazy about all the mech and snow pirate crap, but it's still a pretty damn good game.
