Glad to hear it was the demo that was busted.
..while for me Killzone 2 is a wait and see.
How about letting Retro do a new Nintendo property instead? I'd love to see these guys helm a new action/adventure.
Microsoft is doing a great job of blowing their early lead. Losing their biggest second party partners to other publishers, losing exclusive games, and losing Bungie.
The pecking order of the last gen is returning.
They used to call Nintendo out all the time on stuff. Sony even did it with the original Crash Bandicoot ads. They should do more ads flaunting the 360's faults. Run humorous ads making light of Microsofts ROD issues and pay to play online service.
They don't possess the Bond License
They don't own Rare
They don't own the Goldeneye IP
How could they possibly be involved?
..but it's still no excuse for Sega not to add online play via patch to the PS3 owners they lied to. They said online wasn't going to happen for either version, but in reality they didn't want to add online to the PS3 version because they wanted it on store shelves during the launch window. Just goes to show you can't always trust what the publishers claim.
So the rumor is we're guessing the failure rate is 10% on new 360 units. I'm going to guess this rumor is just that; a rumor. I think Microsoft has gotten their act together with the hardware issues, but only time will tell. If my second 360 (a Falcon) fails on me, I will not return for a third round. I'll sell off all my games and stick with my Wii/PS3.
so I can play them on PS3.
...on original launch day units is 100%, so it doesn't make sense to throw stones when you live in a glass house. As for those few with launch day units that are still "working fine"; you own a ticking time bomb that will die. It's inevitable.
Just played it for the first time. I was expecting an underwater shmup with great graphics, and I got some lame control the base points in a closed environment until your enemies run out of "tickets" game. I'd have rather just gotten 400 M$ points.
I'll have to give the Turok demo another go around. These are the kinds of updates PSN needs every week.
I've no doubt that Smash Brawl will score high, but Famitsu scores mean zilch. With games like Lair, Blue Dragon, Nintendogs, and Assasin's Creed all garnering ultra high scores I'm convinced this rag is more interested in keeping publishers happy than dishing out honest scores.
Lost Odyssey doesn't have many positives from the things I've read. Awful graphics, a no-name developer, and half of the game consisting of cinemas rather than gameplay? Now M$ wants to withhold things from people who don't preorder this turd? I'm speechless.
I was browsing the upcoming releases for PS2 on Gamestop.com and saw it. Never even knew there was a supposed rumor about it's existence.
M$ will only be getting Square Enix love if they foot the bill. Otherwise, they'll be getting "Square Enix" games that have been handed off to inferior developers.
happen to want strong single player campaigns in our games to go along with the multiplayer? Plus unlike UT3 this is an exclusive so naturally there's going to be some thumbing of the nose; something PS3 owners have received plenty of times from xbots and now have 2008 and beyond to give it right back.
because Chris Taylor and Gas Powered games have always had a close relationship with Microsoft who published all of their early games. I'm sure it was requested by M$ that they keep it exclusive to the 360, and in all honesty who cares? It looks like crap, and it's a genre that doesn't do well on consoles. Even 360 owners will be avoiding this.
Holy frickin' crap! Three quality games and the system hasn't even been out for 2 years?!! The ending to Resistance was so good I have to enlist for the sequel. The graphics look improved over the first game and the thought of 60 player online is just nuts.
My god; Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Killzone 2, MGS4, and the Team Ico games? Yeah, it was a nice run 360, but the PS3 is taking over.
...but if it happens I'll be buying the 360 version.
