The Orange Box is a fantastic package (I got rid of Halo 3 for my copy) that PS3 owners should still check out. Of course that's after you've bought Uncharted and Ratchet.
Only an immature child would write off Mario games as recycled kiddie games. I'm guessing a game has to have cursing, vulgarity, blood, and gore to be adult huh?
Lost Planet Colonies sounds like a Real Time Strategy game. God I hope not. I want a real deal action game.
I was never a big fan of the Jak games so Uncharted by a landslide. Besides, we had four Jak games last gen! Time for new Naughty Dog games.
Gran Turismo is the most successful franchise Sony has, and one of the biggest franchises in all of gaming. This should sell well, but it'll only be an appetizer for the main course (GT5).
Aliens- Being handled by Gearbox, who is currently finishing up Brothers in Arms. We won't be seeing Aliens anytime soon.
Elder Scrolls MMO- Rumored to be a launch title for the next Xbox (and PS3?). Might as well not even get excited for it as it's years and years away.
Tomb Raider- We already heard about this
GRAW 3- File under "No duh". You might as well also announce GRAW 4 and 5 to.
Hey everyone, let's sue developers so they can go out of business and kill our hobby!
...shooting Helghast in drab rundown grey and brown environments. Say what you want about Halo 3, but it's brought new ideas to the table. The ability to share clips of your multiplayer battles, the four player co-op that has you going for a high score, the skull idea, and multiplayer map that can be tooled with are fantastic ideas. It's more than just a simple shooter, and everyone knows how the AI is when cranked up to the top difficulty.
Call of Duty 4 is a rollercoaster ride, with...
Make a Dreamcast 2, and support other consoles at the same time? Is this guy serious?! That's just one idiotic comment out of a mountain of them from this moron!
Anyway if you're about 18 years old (as he was mentioning), then you have no clue about how Sega screwed their customers and ran themselves into the ground with subpar products because you were too young to know about it.
This guy goes on about how only Sega and Nintendo seemed to matter back then. Yeah, certainly Nin...
Killzone 2 winds up being a good game. It's probably the most hyped game of this generation and has a lot to live up to. Judging from Guerilla's track record every PS3 owner needs to crosss their fingers. Espcially considering the bar has been raised further by games like Call of Duty 4.
Lost Planet's Metacritic score is 79, the same score as Heavenly Sword which you consider to be a crappy game.
Therefore according to FirstKnight Lost Planet = crap.
Loved the demo back when it hit, but found the game to lose it's luster as I got further into it during a rental. Yet, I'm still interested in finishing the game, but not for $40. Sure it includes all of the 360 extra content, but that seems to have been factored into the price considering the 360 version's $25-$30.
I'd like this game way more if I didn't have to worry about collecting orange goop to stay alive.
If I just bought the damn thing and it had a crack I'd return it to the store I bought it from.
Exactly.
I think the last Nam title was Men of Valor, and while it wasn't bad, I think Nam makes for a pretty boring game considering the levels consist of jungles and nothing else. With WWII you've got more variety to offer.
Anyway, it's perhaps time to move on from some of these wars and simply get creative and make up some fictitious wars to fight. The middle east does provide for some nice settings with battles raging within palaces, small villages, mountainous areas, and open air markets...
I enjoyed the Ghostbusters cover story in Game Informer. Looking foward to the release, but I'd love to know why the hell Sony pictures allowed this franchise to go to someone outside of Sony, only to have it become a multiplatform game. There must be zero communication between Sony's different studios.
It would be nice if Activision treated this great franchise like gold. Instead of rotating two different development teams (who obviously aren't equal)to ensure a new version hits every year, they should just leave the franchise in the hands of Infinity Ward and settle for a new version every 3 years. At least the series won't grow stale in the eyes of consumers who will eventually catch on and skip the odd number versions made by Treyarch. Personally if I were in charge at Activision I'd lea...
I was there on 9/9/99 for what was and still is the best hardware launch ever. But the months following sucked. Sales weren't great, and the system was basically dead in japan, and outside of RE CV and DOA2 there were no more big game announcements. It was pretty heartbreaking. If the Dreamcast flopped, then there's no chance in hell a new Dreamcast 2 would do better. Sega's first party software is not what it once was, and let's be honest, noone outside of the hardcore gives a rats ass about...
Please do tell me where I can find this Xbox 2600! If it's anything like the 360, then it must have a killer library of games.
I already downloaded the 360 version, so it'll be interesting to see how the PS3 demo compares both graphically and in terms of controls.
As for the other stuff, I don't understand the .99 cent purchases. Maybe some of you don't have a problem, but remember the days when crap like this was a free unlockable via a code or beating a score? The bowling game just came out last week, yet they're already hawking character downloads that obviously were kept out of the full version of the g...
