This list is pretty disappointing. They should have included Logitech G25/G27/Driving Force Gt, PS3 Bluetooth Headset and Logitech Harmony PS3 Adapter.

Sony doesn't go on and on about promises. You can blame the media and fanboys (both 360 and PS3) for that. Heck you can browse through N4G and you'll see rumors about the PS3 left and right and some even go as far as declaring it confirmed(HHG).
Point being is that often, Sony makes a confirm or promise when a feature is close to done or when the time is right. GT5 never had a release date but everyone assumed it to be Q4 2009, 360 fanboys goes on to say it's been delay to March ...
Well, you don't need to load it from the bluray if you can put it on an external or the harddrive itself. What you do need to load a copy bluray or from the harddrive is a loader that will bypass the security check.
Just look at the PSP, you don't need to burn a UMD, just rip it. You just need to put it on a memory stick and in the early days, use a loader. With CFW, you just load the game like normal.

I'm 20, and I have to say, it looks really fun. I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet as I have exams, but my roommate is playing the game a lot and it's very tempting to just go play.
Just so you know, hackers have been ripping bluray movies and PS3 games for a while now through linux. So don't think that the only reason why there isn't piracy on the PS3 is because of Bluray.

It's because of DVD9. DVD9 is really showing its age these days. It's going to suck for those with arcade.

Plus with it being a separate DLC for the 360, Capcom can easily slow down the used copies. Think about it, if a 360 owner bought the 360 version of RE5 Gold used, then he or she will be force to pay for the DLC otherwise he or she will be stuck with regular RE5.
With the PS3, Capcom has no excuse with all that extra space and wont' cost them a cent ...

Wow, that might be the only thing I'll ever use it for but outside of gathering friends into one lobby/room, I personally feel there won't be a hell load of use.
I will probably not use it or rarely. The people I do talk to, I talk to them in person. The people I talk to on PSN was through the chatroom, a lot of entertaining than talking and gaming, and now we're roommates. So I really don't have much of a reason to talk and game at the same time over a mic.
Honestly, No one I know on my list will probably use it except one "friend" I know. He's a brainless sheep most of the time.
You can use any bluetooth, any usb headset (including a microsoft headset, i've used one before on my ps3), and any webcam with mic (done this too with my logitech webcam). So unless you're really poor or have integrated webcam, chances are you have a workable mic lying around for the PS3.
Those who can't distinguish reality and illusion shouldn't be playing games in the first.
But that aside, this is why I have so little faith in humanity. Instead of blaming maybe the parents or simply the kid had problems, they blame something that's probably unrelated.
Now Now, if SE had woken up, they would realize they should I don't know make original music for FFXIII in the US instead of putting random crap.

Anyway, the lightning looks a lot better on the PS3. For me, it destroys a lot of the graphic when all the lighting and shadows are off or missing, way more than color or textures. It's just one of those things I notice.
