Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was MGS4 for PS3 owners. With Kojima signing in NYC and gamers dying to play Kojima's insane stories.
Assume yes, unless you want to leave it to chance.
While I understand those point of view, I can also say that IW has given consumers more reason to pirate. IW is claiming it's for a better and pirate free experience but fail to realize this excuse does not work. It happened with Spore, and it will happen to IW.
1) Piracy happens because of high price when consumer feels like free is an option. The PC version is $60. You don't want to kill a flame with oil.
2) Removing reasons why a gamer should buy the game. PC game...
I agree with Cliff. Maybe back in JHS and HS, nerd can be seen as a negative thing but once you get into college and the real world, it's just another way of identifying a dominate trait. Remember the saying, don't pick on the nerd/geek because one day he will be your boss.
On topic, I don't think price should be a primary concer. I personally feel quality should take top priority. If the quality of the game does not justify even 2 cent, then it's not worth 2 cent. If PC gamers...
Does a champion go around messing with the PC community? Does a champion stick with old engine and hike prices? Does a champion force P2P on the PC gamers?
No, Infinity Ward may have some good ideas and all but they are far from champion. The problem with Infinity Ward is that they are too proud and becoming arrogant. I rather IW took that money and use it to make MW2 better than to say no, because we're great.
If you're going to get an arcade, you're probably going to end up spending that $100 on that overprice harddrive.
Sony is like a sleeping giant. Fanboys thought they could bring it down with bias preaching. Now that Sony is starting to move in full gears, the tides have turn.
It's good that you're making a lot of money but I honestly don't believe in paying for something that should be free or cheaper in the first place even if it is penny change. As long as people keep allowing MS to charge, they will continue to do so. Just look at DLC, PC gamers get it for free and sometimes even PS3 gamers. Microsoft forces other company to charge for their DLC, people buy it, so the industry as a whole accepts the idea of charging for DLC, and it becomes a norm. Now, if consu...
I'm going to do something mindblowing. A NASCAR track, where nascars turn right.
Bubble to you. 360 gamers are gamers too and if they allow abuse, dev will begin to think gamers will allow such abuse. Look at PC gamers, they are far superior in standing up for what they believe in and don't let these big companies push them around. Games for Window Live end up free, why? because they stood against it and made it clear, Spore and the DRM, PC gamers retaliated. MW2, I've seen a lot of gamers canceling their preorders.
PS3 gamers are not as hardcore as PC gamers...
Yes it does. Slowly but surely a lot of these bluray movies are gear towards PS3 owners. District 9 will include GoW3 demo.
Totally agreed. I use it relieve stress all the time especially when school work gets too overwhelming.
This article is not even worth reading. I wasted a few minutes of my life.
The conclusion is terrible. He made it sound like the PS3 can't stream videos. What's netflix suppose to be for? Cleaning my house? The conclusion fails to mention the fact that the PS3 you have an option between streaming and bluray but the 360 you can only stream HD. The first premise clearly states that both system has/will have netflix which in turn makes both system have streaming. It's as if put some...
I can name a few things Microsoft can do to convince me to get a 360.
1)Fix Red Ring and change the case, it's terrible for ventilation.
2)Include everything and don't nickel and dime.
3)Charge reasonable price for harddrive and accessories. Like $40 for 120GB. I got a 250gb for $50 on my PS3.
4)Get rid of Live subscription. I'm sure there are a lot of us out there who wants to play online but don't play online frequent enough to justify $50 a year. Cross game chat me...
I think I've been sticking around too many gaming blogs including N4G. When I read the headline, for a brief moment, I thought "Social tools" meant 360 fanboys/tools.
"360 fanboys" are at heart of Xbox (US success)
Which is why this type of behavior should be discourage. Success got into their head. The PC crowd are not the type of gamers you want to disappoint, they aren't just talk. IW and Activision better pick up because I, for one, with other PS3 owners will not buy this game to condemn this type of mindset.
What is there not to get? It's just different taste and preferences.
I mean, I'm pretty sure they are trying to figure out what is exactly so exciting about fps in the US.
I say it's an rather unjust law. For example, the drug(pharmaceutical) industry has a few large drug companies like Pfizer. They spend millions on let say X drug with the ability to cure cancer. Now, obviously to cover the cost for R&D, they charge $900 for the drug x. Many of us probably can't afford it, especially those in 3rd world. So, through reverse engineering/leaking, these small company are able to recreate the same drug and will only charge $350. By law, it's wrong but not can ...
I believe the problem lies in people actually buying Madden every year. When 2k still made NFL games, the price would be driven pretty low which forced EA to lower the price for Madden. Which NFL will probably not be able to earn as much in royalties. Now with only Madden and millions of people stilling buying it every year, EA can easily keep the price up for a longer period of time until the next Madden game is out. NFL would get a bigger royalty.
You obviously did not see what happen with Spores. It ruined their sales because they were trying so hard to fight pirates. If IW and Activision can't deal with pirates, simply don't make the game for PC like EA with Madden.
How is what IW doing going to discourage pirates? In fact, I'm sure a lot of PC gamers will pirate the game in spite for what they did. What IW is doing won't encourage hardcore PC gamers to buy their games. Why shouldn't PC versions be better, why should a g...
