I can't begin to understand what possess them to think that this was a good idea. If I want a WRPG, I'll go get a WRPG. I don't need a JRPG company trying to imitate a WPRG company. I don't think they have the slightest clue who their fans are at all.
Don't you just love the media bias. It's so glaring obvious that I'm surprise they haven't cause permanently blindness to at least some of their readers.
Use a screen larger than 13 inch and something = or greater than 1280x800 , then you'll begin to see a world of difference. Even on my 15 inch laptop, I can clearly see the difference. When you start moving away from SDTV and VGA resolution, a lot of things become more noticeable.
With so many shooter fans in the US, and hundreds of study saying that shooter fan gamers having a better eye for details, I'm surprise so many 360 fanboys have a hard time noticing details.
Get rid of DRM. Honestly, it's never going to stop pirates and these company should know that. Companies can spend millions of dollars on creating the world's best DRM and somewhere out there is a hacker just ready to have a field day. It's just another fun challenge for them.
So why push away actual customers and waste resources in a fruitless battle against hackers. There isn't a point. Also, DRM originally had intentions to stop the secondary market but in this day and age, th...
He probably knew that would happen. Think about it, if this news reaches gamer who considered about the 360 version. This might be a reason for them to reconsider. It will affect 360 sales.
But you also have to consider this. A ban might give reasons to some gamers to finally switch to the PS3.
It's a single player game, so it's easy if they just stay offline until they are done. Besides, there are less than convenient ways to unbanned a banned console. You've got to admire the human spirit of pirates and hackers sometimes.
That's the first title that cross my mind. We can hope...
I'm can almost guarantee they knew about this before N4G. It's been up for the last 12 hours, there are other news sources for pirates.
You can wish for piracy to be abolish but it's not going anywhere. The only console that seems to have halted piracy for now is the PS3. As long as people have unlimited wants and limited resources, piracy will exist. There will always be a cat and mouse game.
I doubt it's completely the pirate's fault. So far, cd-key/drm only seems ...
Pirates are usually informed. Of course there are some who aren't. The torrent has been up for about 12 hours, so this would be old news to many pirates.
I am well aware Sony is a business but you're thinking in black and white. You talk as if consumers can't benefit, consumers must always loses, and so on. Business needs customers, if you don't give your customers something to be happy about, something that is worth their time and money, then why would they ever come back.
Sony knew they would lose a decent share of the market. Their plans wasn't to maintain the huge market share as the PS2. What they wanted was to push Bluray an...
MS did have a choice. They could have went with bluray from the start. I understand they were trying to beat the market but it is also clear that by doing so, you put out an inferior product. If MS had included HDDVD which was what the rumors said from the start, things could have been different. I remember thinking about a 360 before it was out when there was rumor about the HDDVD being included, turns out it was rumor and I end up getting a PS3 because I am the type of person that looks at ...
I don't see what this will achieve. I'm almost certain some hacker will strip away the DRM and release all over the internet.
Because Wii was never consider an HD Console. These publishers and devs know who the two real competitors are in "the console war".
If they start making the PS3 incredibly superior to the 360, you'll be a fool to limit yourself to a 360 and only buy the 360 versions of any multiplat. Eventually, it would go the way of last gen in a sense. No one will have a real reason to get a 360 other than for the exclusives. So in a sense, these devs and publishers are still fueling...
Every time I hear him, I feel a little part of me die and don't even know where to start on how he is part of the entertainment industry.
When you can no longer buy it from stores.
I really want this game but no money, no wii, no game.
I'm just going to throw this out there for idea sake. It's a game on Donald and Goofy.
I don't see this title selling very well. $20 is ridiculous. I understand piracy is an issue but time and time again, the only one who are really hurt by this are those with legitimate copies.
Kotaku finally post up an article on this after sending in multiple tips on this topic. Anyway, you should read the comments. The fanboys there are in insane denial, it's kind of sad to read.
