Sony brought this on themselves with all the overhyping. People wouldn't have been so critical if they didn't hype it up so much and trash on the xbox.

There were a lot of people who ran faster 40's at the combine but I guarantee there aren't a lot faster if any. They said he was the fastest player ever at UM,and that is no small feat. Last year as a rookie he broke the record for most KO returns for a TD. From watching game highlights the only person who compares is Deion during the late 80's early 90's.

I think it just that people get excited about upcoming games and throw the AAA term around loosely. Some will end up being AAA but not all.
My comment was directed towards DeepBrown because I assumed he hasn't yet played Ninja Gaiden. It was my way of saying Xbox also had action type games and not just shooters. I think that is where he was going with his "PS type game" statement.

Which titles are you talking about? I would like to check them out. The only two titles I have played are RFOM and MotorStorm. RFOM AI wasn't noticeably good. MotorStorm does have great physics. Is this due to the Cell. Are physics like this not possible on the 360?

I was thinking that since they originally designed this game against the PS3 than due to time constraints they may not pick the most optimal design when moving it over to the 360. It seems that most 360 to PS3 ports appear to be slightly better on the 360 and I was thinking the same would hold true for this game, except in reverse.

Va Tech in the house. One of my best buds went there. Never forget the game where Vick almost singlehandedly beat FSU in the sugar bowl. Anyways yeah it is a great movie, and one of my favorites. The fact that it didn't sell near as many tickets as Titanic doesn't change the fact that it is still good(way better than titanic in my opinion)and it doesn't change the fact that I am glad I spent money on a movie ticket and DVD.

Well at least from the PS3 side(RFOM, Killzone 2). Xbox has had action games in the past but somehow got overlooked, I guess because everyone always percieved xbox as a shooters only console. Wait till you get a chance to play Ninja Gaiden and you will see what you have missed. IMHO better than GOW or DMC.
But games like this I will prolly get on both PS3 and XBox360. I will get it on the PS3 because that was the system it was originally designed for and will prolly provide an overall better single player experience. As to why will I get on the 360 as well? Achievements and most people I know only own a 360 so any co-op or online functionality I will need it for that.
A couple of weeks ago when there was an NPD article about the PS3 having a 3.4 attach rate, I posed basically the same question. Vgcharts had at the time 2 million PS3's sold and 3.4 games sold for an attach rate of 1.7. I asked who to trust and the response was NPD is more accurate and that vgcharts was way off. Although the Feb NPD numbers aligned closely to the vgcharts numbers in terms of game sold, so at least they appeared to be accurate in that sense.

PS2 is still the top selling console, and right now is helping Sony ease the burden with the PS3 losses. If MS was in the same position(large install base, profitable business) they would do the exact same thing. As long as it makes business sense Sony will continue to support the PS2.

Why is it that some gamers self esteem is tied to the success or failure of a console? 99% of us aint getting paid by MS, Sony, or Nintendo or even have a gaming related income. Even in the religious battle of Windows vs Linux vs Mac most of the people are in that industry and therefore make money based off which technology they support/choose.
