Here is my prediction.
The cloud will be scrapped, the game will be on both XBone and XBone The Deuce but only The Deuce will have the physics.
I'm going to buy a Scorpio, just to play Scalebound on it! I hope it turns out as good as Nier: Automata!
Are you talking about the fact that Nier outsold Halo Wars global release in Japan alone on their opening weeks?
Because that happened...
Platinum Games is one of the best studios around. Nier: Automata is one of the best games released so far this year.
I can't wait to see how Scalebound turns out. I bet it;s going to be awesome! I'm glad Microsoft gave Platinum the time and creative freedom they need to make a great game!
Congratulations Phil! Japan mission complete. I'm sure you'll sell hundred(s) of copies.
That was only Japan which has a 4,500,000 install base vs 25,000,000. So Nier sold 25% more with 80% less units.

Hmm, that's funny considering that Microsoft had a big Halo Wars 2 Launch Party that Phil, Major Nelson and other Xbox celebrities showed up for.
And I certainly don't remember any XBoners saying anything about how it wasn't supposed to sell when they were talking about how good it was going to be before release.
So yea... totally not expected to sell.
The real news is that a Halo game was outsold by Nier by almost 25%
I mean you can say all you want but the fact is that it has been an extremely successful franchise that has generated a ton of money.
Why do people keep acting like there is even a chance that Scorpio is going to play Windows 10 games?
Microsoft created UWP specifically for the purpose of bridging the gap. They have never said or even hinted that Windows 10 and Scorpio will be compatible in any way other than UWP.
I see this argument a lot. It's like you guys have completely forgotten the start of the gen even though it was only three years ago.
XBone failed for many reasons. It was more expensive because it was saddled with a Kinect that no one wanted. Not to mention XBone had one of the worst reveals in gaming history with all the talk of TV and always online. That combined with the fact that for the most part no one outside of North America likes Xbox or Microsoft and the fa...
Did you not do any research at all?
PS4 had more retail exclusives and more exclusive indie games as well as the fact they released PSVR, PS4Pro and PS4 Slim in 2016. PS4 also had the years most awarded and highest rated game.
Basically nothing in your article is factually correct.
It really didn't. I mean PS4 had more than 3x as many retail exclusives and higher rated games.
I guess if you only compare it to itself maybe it was good.
So, two multi-platforms and a mobile game... ouch
And the sad fact is ME:A and Ghost Recon are not only the biggest games last month they are the biggest games so far this year for XBone.
Yea, I hear it's also going to be able to do 10k and be free.
@christocolus
If all the rumors are true absolutely, I'd have to be a fool not to take a free 10k console.
No it's nothing i'm working on, it's just a rumor I heard from a guy who posts on twitter. His name is Steven.
It's not trolling to point out the severe lack of new games. It's a fact XBone has only had one retail exclusive this year and doesn't have a single retail exclusive with a set release date.
I guess they have time since they aren't making new games for people to buy.
I would follow Microsoft's plan for XBone, lower expectations till everything seems like a success.
@Sciurus_vulgaris
Owning the IP is not the same as owning the source code. For example when Activision canceled True Crimes: Hong Kong United Front Games retained the source code and re-pitched it to SquareEnix they then continued the game under the title Sleeping Dogs.
Personally I think Sony should work with Platinum Games and release Dragonbound.
Honestly, yes.
