Those of you who say there is no significant difference in graphic quality have obviously either never played both games, or are crap-talking haters. By comparison, Super Mario Sunshine didn't know what texture and detail were. The truth is, SMG is such a beautiful game, that even if it was done in HD, it would look better, but it wouldn't be a huge step up from what it is.
Lair IS on that list. :P
But Zack and Wiki has possibly the most innovative controls for the Wii yet, and no one is buying it. Is it because there aren't enough people interested in playing games besides Wii Sports? No. Look at SMG, MP3, RE 4, etc. Nintendo and third party developers aren't advertising. Any time you have alot of new customers, you need to make second, third, fourth contact, etc. Joe Blow who's enjoying Wii Sports and Mario Party with his friends each weekend has no idea that Zack and Wiki exists. And...
Both consoles sell more than that in one day in the U.S. especially the Wii. It's good that to some extent the PS3 is catching on in Japan, but these are not big numbers at all. I'm waiting to see how these consoles do in India and China. Those countries have HUGE populations. All 3 companies are going to do awesome this time around. The gaming market is exploding, and all three consoles have had their role in making it so. Hooray for us gamers! Good times should be here for a while. :)
"Grandpa, you really used to have to play games by pushing buttons instead of just thinking what you want to do? Wow, you're old!"
"Yep, let me try this plug the console directly into your brain thing."
:)
Though I've beaten SMG, I still like to visit levels just to look at them again or play certain levels that were just downright fun. But even though I do that, it can't compare to the replay value that OoT had. I'd even sit there and just fish sometimes back in the day, because at the time, OoT had the best fishing experience on a console. Let alone the pure wonder and amazement of doing the Water temple for the third time in a year and still finding it beautiful and challenging.

That is a shame. You should try them out starting from the bottom up. It really is a fun series.
All of these threads about BR vs. HD-DVD, with people fighting tooth and nail over which one is better, how you can so easily tell the difference between 1080i and 1080p, and now we hear from the same crowd that it's no big deal that the top games aren't even in 720p, but "Who cares? We couldn't tell the difference until we were told." Can we now lay this ridiculous HD war amongst some on this site to rest? Oh how much nicer this site would be if we didn't have 10 stories a week arg...
This 500k puts this game on a pace ahead of any Mario game before it, so actually things are seemingly better for Mario games than ever before. (If we are going to use such a small sample size time-wise that is).
"Mario has been invited to the Annual star festival which is held once every 100 years."
When did this supposedly happen? :P
360 sold roughly 5-6 million the first year, and roughly 7-8 the second.
Right?
It's obvious that they are seriously taking price into account here. Not to mention that this Cassamasina guy recently reviewed both RE: Umbrella Chronicles and MOH: Heroes 2, so I'm sure he's quite proficient with the Wii-mote as a shooter by now and breezed right through even the tougher challenges. While it's not much better, other reviewers said that it's about a 2-3 hour game. To tell you the truth, I'd rather see the mini-game genre evolve into something more like this, with the price t...
How do they let such games even reach the point of a review? I bet you if 5000 poor suckers end up buying this crap, they'll make a profit. Bastards... :P
Nintendo should be ashamed for allowing the "Since you aren't getting Soulcaliber 4" genre of games that have popped up. It wouldn't be bad at all if the developers actually put some effort into it but...
I considered this game for a a quick bit when I heard that Lloyd Irving from TOS was going to be in it, but with all of the good games released lately draining my entertainment cash, this game probably won't even get a rent from me until next year some time.
No matter how many or few Wii's Nintendo produces they are going to sell out, if there is indeed a winner for such things, Nintendo would be it. But if a few thousand anxious parents and kids pony up the extra cash for a PS3/360 since they can't find a Wii for their little brat, then I'd say it's the gaming industry that wins. I know one thing for certain though. I'm not winning anything. And you all aren't winning anything. No matter what happens. That is unless they announced the Super-defe...
Then you should be happy since the casual gamer is being conditioned for high prices if ever they choose to go Sony or Microsoft. I mean seriously... Is there no end to the bottom of this barrel Nintendo bashers scrape in order to try and feel better about their own choice of console?
Funny, Sour grapes article by a disgruntled former Nintendo fanboy who jumped ship to Sony or Microsoft during one of the last two Gen's (when Nintendo was still trying to kiss his ass). Anyone ever stop to think that with as wide a consumer audience as Nintendo has, it might take longer than a year to completely please everyone? It's also funny that with all of the b!tching about no 3rd party developers for Nintendo, we're supposed to conveniently forget about the upcoming FF Crystal Chronic...
I hope you aren't serious. For one, those games are too new to be eligible. But how could you try and lump them in with the best of all time? While those are good games, saying what you said makes you look like a brainless fanboy, or a very young child.
That's just vicious. All of those games except Rayman are crap. Though I am surprised that this is only just now happening.
1. I'm glad I've had my Wii since launch.
2. Even though it doesn't affect me personally, I'll remember this. Screw Toys R Us...
Truth is, the game looks better than any console SC game to date. It won't for long since the real next installment is coming out soon for the HD systems, but hey, it is what it is. Don't be ridiculous.
