It doesn't work like that with pre-downloads. There are actually pieces of the game missing that are required for the game to run. When it releases, you have to download the remaining files before you can play. No hacker is going to be able to create the content that is missing, unless it is leaked. Steam has been doing this for years and nobody to my knowledge has cracked that version of a game.
Yeah, that was a little confusing. I think someone in marketing might have jumped the gun and said, "Look! Our game is open world too!" They may have very open environments, but since you have to transition between them this isn't technically an open world game.
Pretty much different areas like Origins, but on a much larger scale. Basically each of these areas are large enough for an open world experience, like exploring places that are not part of the main storyline. Personally I am fine with that. That means we get to go to different parts of Thedas and not be confined to a single "country". In the most recent developer video they state Eastern Ferelden and Western Orlais. Not to mention it will allow for vastly different environment type...
Right? The thing that bugs me is that they basically said the Xbone version was superior to the PC version because of "The Cloud". Now we find out that The Cloud is basically dedicated servers. Nice of them to get with the times...
So from what I am getting from these trailers is that the game world will include areas throughout Thedas, and not a single "country". In this trailer, they mention Eastern Ferelden and Orlais. I kind of like this idea, as it allows for different environments. Forests, Mountains, Deserts, etc.
I laughed at your comment a lot more than I should have. Lol
If you are going with an AMD graphics card, you should wait for the 8000 series. It is supposed to be out right around the same time as the new consoles.
i7-2600k @ 4.4ghz
8Gb RAM
GTX 780
2x OCZ Vertex 3 SSD (Raid 0)
1.5TB HDD
No LEDS and kept it clean and simple. That's the main reason I went with the 650D also.
Noticed that too. Corsair is probably my favorite case maker. Rocking their Obsidian 650D myself.
That's the point. The devs are trying to make it to where right and wrong are blurred. If you hear them at the beginning, they say she is being hanged for "murder, looting, and cannibalism". As the Witcher, you may not know whether that is or isn't the truth (or if you would even hear that part at all), and you have to react based off what you see around you.
Maybe a release date with a new gameplay trailer? I know the gameplay trailer they showed to the gaming press at e3 was like 45mins long. Maybe they will show us that.
Couldn't agree more. This is one of the very few games coming out that is truly next generation, which has me even more excited. The e3 trailer clearly showed what they are doing is only possible on PC, PS4, and Xbone.
Im guessing they will release the flagship card at around the same price as the 780. $600-$700. There is no way they will price it around the Titan. That thing is way overpriced.
Witcher 3 first half of 2014, Dragon Age the second half. Between those two games, I don't think I'll have time to play any other game next year.
I don't think people hated ODST for the actual game. Most people bashed it because of the price it was released at. I personally liked the game quite a bit, but it definitely wasn't worth $60. Sure, it came with all the map packs for Halo 3, but majority of die hard Halo fans already had those.
I would say that, but that would require a GPU that is double the power of the Xbone's. The PS4's gpu is only like 50% more powerful. That roughly means if the xbone gpu is rendering a game at 30fps, the PS4 gpu would be able to render that same game at 45fps. Obviously there is a bunch of other things that make difference, but you get the point. I think devs would rather lock the framerate at 30, and add some slight detail. I do agree with you though. I would take 60fps in multiplats...
Agreed. The faster RAM isn't going to make a huge difference, but the GPU will. Pretty good difference between the two consoles when it comes to the GPU. First party games will be able to take advantage of that. I honestly see third party devs only adding in a few extra features for PS4 version. Maybe slightly more detail or increased AA. Something along those lines.
Agreed. PC is my platform of choice, so I spent extra $$$ so I can get the best experience out of it. Sure, I could have spent ~$500 and gotten a decent rig, but I don't play on PC to run games on medium settings @30fps. I play on PC to run everything maxed out @60fps and above! I know for a fact that console gaming would have been cheaper, but that doesn't bother me at all.
I hope it is next gen exclusive, especially by the time 2015 rolls around. I expect the majority of multiplatorm games to be cross gen throughout 2014, but not two years after the new console cycle is out.
"As Inquisitior, you actually have innumerous people at your disposal, we call them agents. The nice thing about having agents working for you is that instead of you being the agent of someone else, is that you can send them out to tackle missions."
I get the feeling that this is going to be their online and/or multiplayer element. =/
