Well seeing as I didn't get to play GTA V cause my 360 and PS3 both broke before it came out, I am definitely buying this for PC. I think Rockstar will be able to make a decent amount of money off PC gamers who waited for this.

Bioshock Infinite's gameplay wasn't bad. Definitely wasn't the greatest but not bad by a long shot.

Alan Wake wasn't too bad either. I don't believe that game ever intended to have a robust combat system anyway. That wasn't the focus.

Mass Effect I am kind of on the fence. I loved that game, but the combat wasn't fun. That is easily forgiven though considering how great the game was overall. Definitely didn't "ruin"...

nVidia's pricing was fine up until the 700 series. Flagship single gpu card was always $400-$500USD. When the Titan hit and cost $1000, that's when things got pretty crazy. Hopefully they go back to the flagship card being around $500.

I am right there with you. After that huge disappointment that DA2 was I am a bit skeptical. However, from the gameplay videos I have seen it looks like they have learned from their mistakes. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Some areas, especially the ones with a lot of foliage, look really good. Other areas not so much. My main thing is environment detail and immersion. Things like grass on the floor that moves when you walk through it, and the trees that move in the wind really help to bring the game world to life. So far it looks like this game has that, at least for new consoles and PC.

Yes! Finally. Been waiting for this to come out on PC and it is finally coming.

Well looks like I am buying an Xbox One. Didn't get a chance to play Halo 4 cause my 360 broke before it came out and mainly game on PC. Looks like I get to play 4 and replay the other to before 5 comes out.

Yeah I don't know why everyone is freaking out. It just means nVidia optimized. AMD cards will run nVidia optimized games just fine, and vice versa. I have a 780 and play all AMD optimized games just fine. I am sure your 7970 plays nVidia titles more than fine too.
Watch Dogs is a poor example. That game runs horrible on all cards.

That article that showed the 780ti performance for the Witcher 3 was a bit deceiving. The specs they were playing at was max settings, but with 8xMSAA enabled. Even then it was averaging 30-45fps, which is pretty darn good considering the game still has 8 months till release. I'm sure by the time the game releases with proper drivers and MSAA turned down to 4x, a 780ti will be able to average 60fps.

If you have a gaming PC they go on sale fairly often either on Steam or GOG.com.

Well I am sure it will run it decently. My only concern being all the extra effects like nVidia Physx. I really want to be able to run max settings, Physx on, and maintain a solid 60 fps.

So....
nVidia and AMD really need to release their new video cards before then. Looks like my 780 will struggle to run this game.

Agreed. Bring all their exclusive to PC and I will buy them. Saves me from getting an Xbox One. Lol

Looks like I will just wait to grab this game on a Steam sale. No point in paying full price right now and hopefully they fix all the problems by then.

SLI optimization should be really good. This is an nVidia oriented title, so everything should run smoothly.

Yeah you should be good, especially since your CPU is probably overclocked a decent amount. I have the i7-2600k and have it easily overclocked to 4.2ghz, so I am sure your 2500k is running similar.
I always turn down/off motion blur and depth of field because I really don't like either of those features for games. They also eat up a decent chunk of your fps.

The first DirectX 12 games are targeting holiday 2015. The first DirectX 12 cards will be out probably this holiday. Both nVidia and AMD have stated that their next card cycle will fully support DirectX 12.

Dude you have a pretty decent rig. In almost every case you will be able to run a game better on PC than the PS4. You can probably run Ultra at 1080p, but only maintain 30-45 fps. Still that is considerably better than 900p at 30 fps on the PS4. Turn down a setting or two and you should be running at 60fps and above while still looking better than the PS4 version.

Yes the 670 retailed at $400, but that released a while ago now. The most comparable card now with similar performance would be the $300USD 760, which is in the mid-range price.

You can start from here. The games aren't necessarily reliant on each other. You aren't playing the same character or continuing from an exact storyline. If you play the other games, you can transfer your saved files over and things slightly change in the world depending on choices you made. You may also be more aware of what is going on in the greater game world. Like pandehz said though, you can easily look up info from the other two and be pretty well informed.
