If Microsoft really wanted to drop a megaton they would have dropped the price to $350. Seeing as they are the weaker console hardware wise, they should be at least slightly cheaper. That would definitely give them sales over the PS4.
Also good news for nVidia owners. If more games start supporting Mantle, nVidia will have no choice but to optimize DX11 performance in those specific titles like they already have. So win-win for everyone really.
Yeah when they first announced it I was hoping it be next gen only. Was a little disappointed when it was on ps360 also. I understand that you have to make money on a game, and they wouldn't have made much if they released it on next-gen only.
I forgot Batman comes out a week later. How in the hell am I going to be able to play all these games???
@Ittoryu
Office chair is irrelevant. You have to purchase something to sit on when playing on a console too....unless you like sitting on the floor.
That's why it is marketed towards the professional crowd. Even the Titan Black is marketed towards them. nVidia even states that for gaming the 780ti is the better choice over the Titan. So while this is a very expensive card, it's meant towards those who need it for their profession. It's not meant to be picked up by people using it solely for gaming (though I'm sure someone will).
What about Bioshock Infinite and every other universe out there? I've always thought it would be funny if every game that came out had a hidden easter egg where you could see Elizabeth & Booker roaming through that games universe.
Yeah by the time Witcher 3 comes out nVidias Maxwell line-up should be completely released. Ill take Witcher 3 with a side of GTX880 please.
Your comment gave me a good laugh. I was thinking the same thing actually. I was like, "Damn, this sucks. At least ill have some time to play Dragon Age though." lol
Yeah running 16x AF barely affects my performance. Very surprised some games arent running using it in next-gen games.
Couldn't agree more. Would have been much better if Bioware followed in CDPR's footsteps and made it next-gen only. No old consoles holding back the development team.
Just pulled the trigger and pre-ordered for PC. Was debating on whether or not I was going to get it right away after playing the beta, but Im kinda dying to play it again. Lol
@Kevinsheeks
Yeah I am debating buying it for PC too. It was pretty fun and that was just the beta. Still on the fence though.
This always happens. It took like two years for the industry to stop calling PS360 next-gen. I agree its a little annoying but I'm fine with it for now. Another year though not so much...
Yeah I am not sure which one I would get yet. I don't have loyalty to either console, but being a big fan of Halo I might be leaning towards the Xbone. Plus it wouldn't be my primary platform (PC is) so resolution and things like that aren't a concern. Hopefully when Halo 5 comes up they will bundle it and be somewhat cheaper. $500 is still a lot pay. =/
If this was any other company I would agree with your statement. However CDPR was one of the few companies stating how underpowered the PS360 were. Even though they got the Witcher 2 running on the 360, they said that they had to do a lot of engine reworking to get it to run properly. I'm sure if the new consoles weren't out yet, CDPR would still not release the Witcher 3 for current gen.
Wish this was coming out for PC. Might have to get an Xbox One or PS4 for this.
On consoles it's $60. On PC it is only going to be $50.
"To add insult to injury, PC gamers have to use the EA digital distribution client, Origin"
Um...I think we are all well aware that anything published by EA is Origin exclusive. How is this news?
Hmmmm $400 Xbone and Halo's 1-4????? If this is true I will definitely be looking to pick up an Xbone this year. Halo is one of my favorite franchises, but haven't got a chance to play Halo 4 since my 360 died years ago. A remake would be perfect for me.
