Agreed. As awesome as the Joker is, he does not have to be the main bad guy in every game.
Yeah im not really interested in the small graphical upgrade either. I am interested in fully detailed environments, better AI, better physics and other dynamic effects. It's kind of hard to implement fully if the games are also being designed to run on PS360. I'm fine with crossover games for another year, but I hope more devs start making next gen only by the beginning of 2015.
As a gamer, why would you want that? How can they build a better library when the majority of games can run on a ps360? When you do purchase a next-gen console, wouldn't you prefer that all the games are something beyond what a ps360 can do?
Battlefield 3 doesn't look that much worst than Battlefield 4, and that came out in 2011. The Witcher 2 came out in 2011 as well and that game looks amazing.
Yeah youtube and any other video streaming doesn't do games justice. Seeing it in person is a whole different story.
I am really looking forward to this game. It is the only multi-platform game (I can think of) that is leaving the old consoles in the dust. With this game being PC & next gen only, we are going to see things that simply wouldn't be possible on existing consoles. With what we have seen so far, I wouldn't be surprised in CDPR took this new generation by storm.
Horrible optimization is right. Guru3D did a COD Ghost benchmark with the majority of graphics cards. No single GPU card can get over 60fps in Ghost maxed out at 1080p. A Titan is only getting 56 fps on average. Compare that to Battlefield 4 maxed out, which looks much better, and the Titan is getting 81 fps.

This is a game that would actually put the Xbox One to good use. The developer would be able to utilize Kinect to improve the controls, whether it be through gestures or voice command. On a side note, both the XBone & PS4 have new inputs that would make RTS games work better on consoles. Xbone has Kinect, and PS4 has the touch pad.
That sand storm on Gulf of Oman looks pretty freaking awesome. Glad Caspian Border is coming back, but I could do without Metro or Firestorm.
While I think 12GB might be excessive, 6GBs certainly isn't. I'm gaming at 1080p, and there are a few games that are using around 2GBs of VRAM. Battlefield 4 for example uses 2GBs with 2xMSAA. So you figure someone who is gaming on multiple monitors or 4k is definitely going to need at least 6Gbs with newer games.
Not to mention mohlest can sell his 780 when the 880 comes out and probably still get a good amount of money back, and throw it right at the 880. I may do the same if the 880 is much more powerful than the 780.
This game runs much better than Arkham City. My 780 couldn't even manage that game maxed without dipping into the 40's constantly. Id have to turn AA low and Physx completely off. I am able to max Origins with TXAA & Physx on high while not dropping lower than 50.
It wouldn't. They recently did a test with 4k gaming and VRAM usage was around 5gbs. I highly doubt this card is going to have 12GB VRAM. I honestly think this card will have the TITAN chip in it, but with only 3GB VRAM like the 780. Hence why it is the 780Ti, and not the TITAN Ultra.
I know right? I find it so odd that people who invest money in a company have no idea how that industry works. A delay!? I better sell my stock, even though a delay doesn't amount to lost sales. Chances are they will make more money now. Ubisoft now has a major game releasing every few months, instead of a bunch of games releasing around the same time.
Got with the 7200rpm or one of the hybrid drives. A 5400rpm will increase loading times too much. I do remember hearing that the stock PS4 HDD is 7200rpm also.
I'm really glad I decided to go with the i7-2600k over the i5-2500k back when I built my pc a couple years ago. Back then the i7 was completely unnecessary for gaming, but now it seems these next gen games will make extensive use of the extra threads.
The GPU not being powerful is the biggest problem I see with the upcoming consoles. The amount of RAM is excellent. The CPU, while not clocked that high, is pretty solid due the amount of cores/threads. Then they go and throw in a weak GPU. I wasn't expecting them to put in a 7970, but geez they could have done better. Some of the best looking games coming out only run at 30fps. Not to mention with the ease of development, I don't foresee a good leap on visuals from the beginning of n...
Yep. They average at around $400. If you can afford it, it will make everything that much better. I have 2 of them in Raid 0 on my PC and loading times are almost non-existent.
If you read the interview he didn't really trash talk. He was just saying that Call of Duty is their main competitor and that of course they are going to try to out innovate them. Wasn't like he was saying, "Call of Duty sucks, Battlefield is better!".
Yeah that kind of bugged me. The black guy was the worse. He just flat out said that all gamers are lazy and overweight.
