Dumb article. This was answered in the direct months ago. If you want them to rush their IP's then you can bet they won't be as good. The HD transition is clearly giving them more trouble than they expected. They should have been better prepared for it, but they weren't. If you want Nintendo titles you are gonna have to wait. Otherwise don't waste time writing dumb articles like these and play something else until they come out.

People can sit and argue why one company is better all they want, but they literally can't do anything to make me enjoy what I am playing from from all the consoles any less. Then again I enjoy games more than brand loyalty.

Funny how many idiots with a keyboard think they can run a multi-million dollar corp better than people who do now, and say stuff like, "Anybody that defends this company is a mug."

He's not lying to himself. Retailers have made price drops and we have only seen sales go up in the weeks where games are being released. Most things would probably sell better if it were cheaper, but in the long run doing a price drop right now would be pretty foolish for Nintendo in other important areas of business. If they do it they need to time it so it won't hurt them and that time definitely isn't now.

You raise a very good point. I am seriously not trying to poke the bear here when I say why so many phantom disagrees and no comments?

the future isn't the horrible part, it is right now. This period of time will probably be the worst time for the Wii U (probably might be a few other dry spots) but you're high if you think new super smash, 3d mario, new zelda, new miyamoto ip, new retro game, monoloth soft game, and new mariokart constitutes a horrible future. Also out of the 47% of households that own consoles, the average for those households was at least TWO consoles. That being said I don't think the Wii U wi...

Jesus man what do you want to hear? Nintendo already has started to move on their next console by unifying their departments because they want improvements. They want success, not to win generations. Nobody is arguing that the Wii U will be as successful as the Wii, and I don't think anyone truly cares that it won't be. We just want fun games to come out, and at this point Nintendo just needs to be profitable with the Wii U which will most likely happen when their first party games co...

I agree that if you are looking for the most exclusives and multiplats on one console, then Sony is definitely the way to go. It mostly depends what kind of gamer you are. I just love games too much to not buy, or at least have access to, all the consoles. Other gamers can be satisfied by only what Sony offers, and there is nothing wrong with that either.

Not disagreeing with you because in my opinion super smash bros melee is one of the best games I have ever played, but o...

I agree with rebranding the Wii U. They are working on new IP's but creating/ buying new studios would help them get more of them. Def work with 3rd parties better. Tablet controller is good though I wouldn't be against including a pro in the pro bundle. After doing all that initially profit wouldn't be there though. Good ideas for the most part I think.

Oh yeah, and set up a good marketing and market research department.

Seems like there is a lot in the works for Wii U software. Makes me wonder if all of this stuff will come out at around the same time?

I think there are two things that really caught Nintendo off guard with this console launch.

One is that I think they overestimated the value of the titles in their launch window. They definitely had a good number of games, but there was not a good set of games that people wanted like they expected. Part of that comes from things that can't be helped like expecting more from games like Zombie U and the Rayman delay, but part of that is their fault for overloading people w...

@Mr_Writer85

"If these games are so great why did the GameCube and N64 bomb? Windwalker only sold a million more on the GC then skyward so your logic makes no sense."

Wait so wouldn't your point be invalid since they sold more for Wind Waker on a system that didn't sell 100 million? You were trying to say the casuals are the reason they sold so much, but those casuals definitely weren't there on the gamecube so why did they still sell so...

@logicwins
You are crazy for thinking a console has to fail for their company to go in a new direction. Nintendo has already fused their handheld and console departments in an attempt to get their next console to "turn heads". Not to mention how they were the only console that started out in a new direction last gen. It seems like Sony could afford to change a little bit. At least Microsoft is trying to run with Kinect (they just need more exclusives and to bail on having pe...

Not true. Nintendo needs games. They have to give people a reason to value the system. They need to market the Wii U more and market it better than they have been.The key to that lies in making sure they have a solid understanding of what they want to do with their system which I'm not sure they do. They also need devs who are willing to experiment with the system's unique features and apply those to the games. Of course I understand this takes time for the latter so I don't expec...

I applaud you for being consistent. I personally love my Wii U and have a Vita that I am also excited to use with my future PS4. However there are so many people bad mouthing the Wii U for its gamepad and claim the second screen is a gimmick, but then it is okay when Sony does it. You are at least consistent.

idk about nintendo, but gaming journalism sure is

4827d ago 10 agree0 disagreeView comment

I agree that Nintendo does need to drop games soon. I also think the gaming media does more harm than good to the industry. Being hammered with constant negativity from a ton of articles

4827d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Is there any other form of journalism that can get away with reporting the same thing over and over again? Or is this just N4G approvals?

$150 price cut? You guys may not ever want to get into business because you would be pretty terrible at it.

4827d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

That's cool, glad we aren't allowed to spectate about games anymore because it has to be desperation. This guy clearly made a mistake not just making another unnecessary Wii U doom article.
