The part that really cracks me up with this article, is where the Ngmoco CEO says that the App store has loads of apps where the average price is only $1.20, and thus, by his logic, people are going to want to play on iOS, rather than spending $20-30 on a real title.
Ironically, isn't that kind of suggesting that the iPod touch and iPhone cannot thrive, because vastly cheaper phones and MP3 players exist? The analogy is pretty close -- a $2 game doesn't have anywhere...

Bloodrayne 2 had potential... but it still wasn't good. The first Bloodrayne game was freaking awful.

I wonder if Neil knows that the best selling games on the PSP (GTA: LCS, etc.) outgrossed the best selling games on the App store by about a 20-to-1 margin, and that the average gross income of a PSP game is like 30x as much as the average iOS game, yet only costs about 10x as much to develop? I mean, by comparison, KZ3 is awesome -- yet people bash it, and not the popular competitors that it trounces so easily. Wierd.

Looks like 360 marketshare in the US is falling. A couple years ago, the 360 outnumbered the PS3 by a 2-to-1 ratio... now its 5-to-3, which, honestly, is a lot closer to the recent software tie ratios in the US.
I don't hate /6 at all. I liked Confrontation fine, after about 6 months of patches.
But claiming it looks better than SOCOM 4... lol. Come on. At least take that BS out of your statement, if you expect people to take you seriously. If you believe that, you are seriously blind, out you're just outright full of it.
Folklore, Demons Souls, or Valkyria Chronicles deserves a spot on that list, rather than one of the others, IMO. Those games were outstanding.

It may not have had a pop-up HUD thing to tell you to lean, but the lean button was there, I guarantee, and so was cover. I'm guessing you just ran around getting shot, most of the time, and maybe that's why you don't "get it".

I wonder why do people nit-pick SOCOM so much? I mean, other games have the same nit-pick issues, but you just don't hear people complaining about them. Blip says he likes the game in the podcast, but not after spending an unbelievable amount of time picking at it, and saying nothing positive at all.

What great games are you looking to play, that wouldn't be WAY better on some other platform? Surely you must know of some, being a gamer serious enough to visit N4G and all.
This series has the best character development of any JRPG series in existance, IMO.
Very well worth it, if you like character-driven stories and JRPGs at all, particularly in 30-40 minute portable snippets. The games have always been pretty focused on the storytelling, though, as opposed to having tons of combat -- I wouldn't be surprised (actually I'd be pleased... I'll know soon) if this one was the same.

Go online, and build a PC you think would decently upstage the 360 and PS3, for $600 or less (retail, so wholesale prices would be lower), then come back and reconsider this rumor.
