I really hope so.
The Joker doesn't need to be the arch-villain in every Batman game. I was very disappointed when they reverted to him in Origins after all the Black Mask hype.
A bit annoyed that there's scarecrow DLC exclusive to the PS4.
Now before I get attacked, I have the PS4 batmobile edition pre-ordered, I just hate console exclusive DLC!
@mhunterjr - yes, I'd expect this kind of article if The Order got 9's as well as the game definitely doesn't deserve to be scored that high either.
But to dismiss an entire article based on your supposition of the catalyst for this article is somewhat obtuse.
Perhaps, sometimes, there's an accumulation of things that annoy someone and there's a final straw so to speak. Does that make the entire point irrelevant?
Do you take issue with all the artic...
Wait ... so you're saying this is the first time "game journalist" ethics have been brought into question and its all because of The Order?
Suppose you're one of those people that think gamergate was all about misogyny?
Or the Kane and Lynch IGN review debacle was just a misunderstanding?
One of the issues is the fanboys who haunt comments sections like here are often the same people who start or join sites and suddenly call themselves journalists and claim to be impartial.
And that only further inflames things because then you get articles and reviews deliberately designed to antagonise one section of the audience.
Couple that with a click-for-revenue model and a lucrative "reviewer/gift pack" process that a lot of publishers apply its no wonder gami...
Perhaps you should take your own advice to heart
You've got no leg to stand on saying "keep in mind opinions vary" when you spend so much time disagreeing with others (especially those who have the gall to like The Order recently). Because you're then guilty of the same thing.
Keep in mind, opinions vary. And those who disagree with "the almighty reviewer" have every right to voice their opinions on what they believe to be incorrect or absu...
2nd article today, you're on a roll:

Pull your pants up, your fanboy is showing.
Halo3 ... finish the fight ... except don't.
How many games have definitive endings and don't leave it open for a sequel? Gears3 maybe.
Edit - This isn't an attack on Halo3 (meh) or Gears3 (loved it, got the epic edition). It's highlighting how absurd the complaint about the "incomplete story" really is. Very few games have a standalone enclosed story with no opportunity for continuation, apart from the specified endings of some trilogies (e....
Translation "Shit The Order: 1886’s Sales Indicate That Our Reviews Are Out Of Touch And Irrelevant"
Quick, we must post an article trying to justify why we're right and the buying public, most of whom have never heard of us, are wrong!
How many more of these articles are you planning to write to try and consolidate your position? That's 2 today already:

Wow, I can't believe how many people never played Portal or Bioshock or other gems of that ilk because "they weren't long enough".
Each to their own I suppose ...
Oh please.
Apple products sell huge amounts in Japan as do many other "US" products.
The Japanese love US products they think are worth buying.
I love how people talk about how the Japanese hate the XBox because it's American.
Yet somehow never want to acknowledge that the vast vast majority of ogXBox, 360's and XB1s (over 75%) sell in 2 areas, US and UK (basically a U.S. wannabe, especially under the Blair era)
The PS3 sold m...
Slightly higher than I'd rate it (7.5-8.0 is my range after platinuming it)
But well worth a play if you consider yourself a gamer.
Hopefully this takes the Uncharted route (2nd game becomes a classic) versus the Resistance route (2nd game almost destroys the franchise by redacting the original story, moving to 'murica and completely changing the main characters personality and game atmosphere)
Argh can't wait for this!
Want to see what the batmobile on the limited edition is like as well!
Why is it IGN is the worst site ever?
http://n4g.com/news/496462/...
Oh wait, or is IGN the "biggest and most honest gaming site"?

Beware accusing others of flip-flopping opinions lest your own post history betray you
The fact that you keep talking about "Sony contingent" and "rabid fanboys attacking XB games" just reflects your true nature/agenda, you do realise that?
And newsflash, The Order had good gameplay as well. Not that you would ever have given it a chance. The shooting is responsive and satisfying. The weapons punchy (especially the thermite rifle and the shotgun). My main frustration (with the gameplay) was either you couldn't, or I didn't know how, ...
Same guy that gave Titanfall an 8 now complains about lack of content, poor story and terrible AI?
What were you saying about standards?
Oh wait, DigitalRaptor pretty much covered that aspect ...

@Fez - Fair enough, as said I've not seen any, but I did highlight that it may be channel specific. I wasn't saying there have been no ads, just that I've not seen them.
Who remembers Knack? You seem to :p
And release CoD, Halo, Gears, GTA, FIFA, Gran Turismo, Uncharted or a whole host of other games at the same time as Bloodborne or Witcher and they would sink to the bottom and be forgotten.
So I suppose that's how it should be for those games too?
I doubt The Order will have legs (i.e. it'll be usurped pretty quickly) but that's not unusual, very few franchises tend to stay at the top for a multitude of weeks. New releases tend to peak on launch, hell Evol...
Theory - Arkham Knight IS Batman. It's what Batman would be if he let go of his "control".
But AK doesn't exist in anything other than Batmans mind.
Scarecrow has somehow infected either Gotham, or just Batman, with his hallucigen.
Batman tries to avoid killing at all costs. I'd imagine a fear of his would be someone with his power but no compunction about killing others. Batman gone bad so to speak.
So any fights against Arkham Knight is ...
