One thing I've noticed is anybody truly obsessed with one console accuses this site of being "competitor central" because they can only see 1 side of the coin.
OB1, you forget that that "uncharted veteran" who said everything was too familiar didn't even realize they weren't playing uncharted4 (it was 3 if I recall).
If that didn't highlight an agenda then I don't know what does.

For all the "fastest selling peripheral" stories Kinect has still pretty much died.
The Wii dropped off spectacularly fast
The WiiU ... well that's just bombed
Move disappeared
EYEtoy and PSEye were complete wastes of time
VITA pretty much collapsed
Apart from the DS pretty much every peripheral or portable device attached to consoles have failed. That's why I'm sceptical and will be waiting ...
Just remember, if you have a PC capable of running Oculus you have a PC capable of running what used to be XB1 exclusives.
So any argument of Oculus impacting PSVR adoption has to be equally applied to XB1 losing exclusives. If there is enough to negatively impact one there is enough to negatively impact the other.
Let's be consistent in our application of arguments here.

Amazing how some people are so attached to a company that they can do whatever and some sap will lap it up
So how will this impact people with the older "weaker" consoles?
Are games going to run different depending on which version you have?
Will developers code for the different versions?
The catch-22 of "gamers" and the "gaming media" nowadays.
Release an unfinished and/or broken game and correct via patch at a later date, complaints that devs are releasing a sub-standard product.
Delay in order to polish a game and make sure it's as close to spot on as they can make it, complaints about delays.
It's basically lose-lose.
Alan Wake was one of my favourite games of last gen. How bout we wait and see on Quantum Break before coming over all doom and gloom mkay?

There were loads of games on the PS2 I loved, but a lot of my favourites got the HD treatment on the PS3. The last game to hold a real soft spot in my heart that I've not been able to play for trophies (i.e. remastered) has been Haunting Ground.
And I frikken want that game soooo bad, still own the PS2 version but would buy an "upgraded version" in a heartbeat
I wish I knew the answer to this post. As some perspective:
I made a post, it got 42 agrees, 5 disagrees and voted "Well Said". However it subsequently gets marked as "Off Topic" and I go from 10 bubbles down to 6, losing 4 bubbles.
Septic makes a post, gets 11 agrees, 77 disagrees and marked as "Off Topic". Doesn't lose a single bubble, still has 10.
And people still claim this site is biased towards people who prefer Sony? ...
It's interesting to see how good ole Septics facade is slipping more and more as this gen goes on and the straws he and his ilk have to grasp for "wins" are getting more and more obtuse.
And the more that's happening the more people are waking up to the fact that he's just a raving MS fanboy who thinks he's actually intelligent enough to convince people he's unbiased.

What I find more amazing is how quickly they adjusted their numbers. Normally it takes them a few weeks while they try surreptitiously update things.
I still remember when they were massively under tracking the PS3, Sony made an officiall announcement that was a few million above their numbers. Instead of accepting it they released an article alonghe lines of "With Sony saying they've apparently sold xxx we've not updated our numbers because yyy"

Nothing against Phil, as I think he does a really good job of being a public figure.
But seriously ... this is gamingbolt ... when was it ever not going to be a Microsoft related winner? That's like VW voting the golf as "car of the year".
Just to be clear, sales (and being #1) are something to celebrate now, right?
