that's the catch-22 m$ is faced with right now. showing us why the system will cost $500 and why kinect is something we want. on the other hand they need to make it optional in the sense you are not forced to use it which takes some of the value away because every xbone will have kinect.
personally i think once people use it they will enjoy some of its functions. right now it just seems odd to move around and/or use your voice for certain applications or gaming.

people often ask why nintendo doesn't just go the route of sega and sell software. nintendo is interested in selling hardware. in what seems like an annual schedule we see new hardware or revisions of older systems all the time. and they most often make money on that hardware from launch unlike m$ and sony who often sell there hardware at a loss.

nobody runs with a sniper rifle and does headshots. that's what makes games like call of duty unrealistic. you also have to remember these are videogames and they are supposed to be about having fun. what isn't fun (to me) is having campers who are across the map snipe you while your spawning. titanfall is pure adrenaline and i really hope it does not cater to campers.

this is nintendo telling us 3d is a failure. just like when sony tried to push 3d on the ps3. now they never really mention it. nobody cares or wants 3d. even in the theater it's hit and miss.
of course and somewhat predictable. sony came in actually quite low at $399 so that $349 wii u doesn't really resonate with potential consumers as much. especially since the wii u has been pretty slow getting system selling games.
the two things now going for nintendo is price and a year headstart which means some big games will be coming soon. the xbone and ps4 don't have too many games for 2013 that are exclusive system sellers.
