it is still a slap in the face to japanese gamers who remain loyal to japanese game systems. furhermore sony was born and raised in japan.
its not a bad move purely from a business perspective since north america is the biggest userbase sony lost this generation. they used to dominate this region. sony is about money and marketshare just like the others.

whats ironic is pre-E3 the forums all around lit up about xbones reveal, suggesting gaming was not a focus on it. yet fast forward and the line-up is not only strong but some think it's stronger than the ps4's.

this looks smooth and fast, thats the first impression i get. add dedicated servers, a revamped reputation system and this could be online heaven.

sony continue to push this marketing strategy and i'm not sure why? the ps3 bled them dry financially. vita isn't selling. now we hear the same marketing push on the ps4, being the most powerful console. those who crave the most powerful will support the pc.
the end result usually just adds flamewars with console fanboys. those who act like console elitists yet are the first to whine whenever the pc is mentioned.

i can see why kinect would be good for scanning your image, signing you in and that stuff. but why is holding your hands out in front of you while on a jet ski (which will get tiring on your arms after awhile) better than a regular controller?
