i agree. if they expect consumers to have less freedom, be it going to digital, then they better get off there ass and show us why. that could be being more price competitive or in this case letting us have it earlier. this is a very smart move that will no doubt upset diehard physical medium adopters who will feel shafted.
the second part of sesslers video was about ads. i dont have any issue with ads to support freeware and other free options out there. what i do have issue...
has it been confirmed that the full game (online multiplayer and single player) will be in 60 frames per second? does anyone know how many players this sill support in multiplayer?
my mistake about full games. yes it does make more sense that you will have to still download it to the system.
"That said, DLC multiplayer maps will be released for free “to prevent the player base from becoming fractured”."
good news.
1. the ps4 does not allow games to be installed on external hard drives. wii u i don't know if games can be installed on them but they do support external hard drives? the xbone is not confirmed yet if games can be installed on it because at launch it will not support external hard drives
2. the xbone does not allow the internal hard drive to be replaced, it is locked to the system. the ps4 does allow the internal hard drive to be replaced. not sure about wii u

visually it looks very impressive. what is odd is seeing such bright colors and lots of lighting in a killzone game, lol.
can anyone confirm how many players it will support online?
"I have no plans on buying the system its on, but like DLC, have had to deal with things the company behind the game have implemented."
so your making an issue that is basically irrelevant. consumers will also decide what they think is of value. it is just one business model m$ is trying to explore. again, it is giving consumers options. just like how i wish more companies would give me the option to only buy the single player portion in many games and not the multi...
"Hahaha. So because I would like to be able to play Nintendo games without having to own a Nintendo console, find Forza 5's lack of new features disappointing, thought SOCOM 4 was a fun game and am also pleased that people are voting against Microsoft's anti-consumer policies with their wallets, that somehow makes my pointing out of your logical inconsistencies irrelevant?"
all your really saying is you wish every game came out on a sony platform. if i had m...
this is a game console, not buying a house. the x360 is just shy of 8 years old now.

only a 8? preorder cancelled.
jk
if they offer more characters with full access to the game then you run the risk of not selling the game. people will just play it for free. which of course m$ should do more of to get gamers to forget about the gold subscription fees. but that's a whole other debate.
home was an experiment for social activity, which nintendo seems to have taken into a different direction on the wii u. the hardware on the ps3 held back its potential. it felt very much like two separate entities when they should be in unison.
f2p games are a model that is really going into overdrive but it needs to be done properly or else it will backfire. what i find interesting is how all of the sudden everyone is giving high fives to sony for making the ps4 such a frie...
"This is not knocking the Xbox One's fairly stellar line-up but common Sony's studios have not been sitting on their asses for the last few years."
then explain where the last guardian is? sorry, had to put that in there.
"So to recap...don't worry the games will come and boy when they come everyone will know about it."
why write a one-sided blog? what about all the naysayers who have written off the wii u? or ...
if it did would you be more inclined to buy it or are you just making options available that won't have any impact to you either way? on a scale of 1-10 as the game sits now, what are the chances you are going to buy ki with 10 being a definite yes? now i will ask again, if the demo was "fuller" and had a story mode attached and allowed for 2 playable characters how likely would you buy it on a scale of 1-10?
worked for me but you didn't miss much. they are just trying to ease the worries that the new consoles will get the same experience. 60 frames per second and up to 64 players which is nice. the graphics will likely be sharper and have better effects on high end pc's which isn't surprising.
the problem i see is early impressions so far suggest the ps4 (and likely the xbone but i haven't seen any footage yet which could be a bad sign) isn't looking all that...
so you came into a xbone topic to talk about the ps4? what a surprise.
@iamnsuperman
larry hyrb (major nelson) is just a gopher for m$. he is the one who is the voice for xbox live. hes managed to move up the ladder a bit but he is your typical pr person.
they get paid to do it and that to me is fine, but when gamers do it comes across as insecure fanboys.
this is how lots of games should be sold. giving the consumer a scale of what to buy brings way more options to the table. what many f2p games do that consumers don't like is they are pressured to pay to get anywhere. that to me is worse than offering a demo.
comes out TOMORROW!
ok, thanks
