If you would have check you would have noticed that Aug was when MS did their price drop. A price drop creating a boost in sales? Hard to believe but its probably true.
He just dances around the question of payment by saying the main reason is because our console is successful. So what were the other "less important" reasons? A big fat check I'd wager was one of them.
Edit
Below: Please find and quote the part in that statement where MS denies paying for the game. Read it very careful and quote it if you do see it. I will apologize to you and anyone else that wants one. However, if you don't find anything this whole...
You mean Oct and Nov 2k7? There may be an argument for Oct. But Nov? I'm sorry dude but that month normally sees a boost regardless. Its called the start of the Holiday season...
with probably 1/3 the marketing spent.
Maybe 3 months to 6 months. Which would give Terminal Reality time to find a publisher for the 360 version.
MS can say anything they want. Since they forced SE to sign a NDA to get the $$$.
After people have to start paying $100 and shipping again will it still be all good? I mean this guy has had to send it in 4 frickin' times. Do you guys really think that is acceptable for something that is around 2.5 years old?
They are charging $139.99.
BTW all the sales numbers toted by companies about their game sales are probably shipped numbers as well. Just because they decide to use the word "sold" instead of "shipped" doesn't mean it is sold to customers. Or do you really believe that each company has a representative at every store in the world counting each sale of their game? Wouldn't it be more realistic and accurate just to count the merchandise they ship out to distributors and big box retailers?
Amazon has them in stock if you want to direct your friends there. $499 shipped.
Edit below:
4 million shipped means sold to Konami.
I feel sad for you. If came up with such a moronic assumption from my statement. When did I say every ps3 owner bought 3 copies of Resistance? I was simply (obviously not simple enough for you) pointing out that Resistance had a very good tie ratio and long legs for a game that launched with such a small user base. Long legs usually = good game. But its probably my fault. I'll try to keep my statements under five words or less for the feeble minded.
when it was released. Gears sold about 5 million to an installed base of 8-9 million when it was released. Which one sounds more impressive? Name one 360 launch game that got anywhere near the sales of Resistance. You won't find one. Gears looked better that's all it had going for it. Resistance had better weapons, lag free online, a much longer campaign, better weapons and AI. But it will be interesting this Nov.
like I dunno... Metal Gear Solid 4. Websites would search out for stores with no lines and make fun of the launch. Oh wait they did do that.
Yeah when I use to visit Kotaku I didn't see a heavy bias against any console. They just pretty much hate on everything equally. But their "make fun of everything because we are cool attitude" wore thin on me. Its much easier to break something then it is to build it. And all they do it break games, systems and people down... They are becoming the tabloid trash of the video game industry.
Then have it pirated and hacked to death.
Hopefully they sell some units.
But any company would do this. It isn't their responsibility to wipe your @$$. What do you think happens to all those unused gift cards they sell around the holidays? People don't use it or it expires then the company keeps the free money. Stores frickin' love selling gift cards because a fair amount of them are never redeemed.
Anyone bothering to read your garbage knows your bias. What the heck does the games on xbla vs psn store have to do with MS charging for Live Gold? Stay on topic if you want to be taken seriously. BTW just because someone doesn't want to pay for something (they think should be free) means that mommy and daddy use to pay for it? I can assume something similar about you. Since mommy and daddy pay for your Live Gold what do you care about an annual fee? Assumption is the mother of all fu*#...
Just played a couple of levels of Perfect Dark Zero the other day and although the graphics are outdated the gameplay still employs lots of stuff shooters today don't do. Such as being able to choose your starting weapons before every mission, varied environments, breakaway armor on the enemies, multiple paths and co-op that employs different routes for each player.
Put it in your blog and see if anyone gives a damn.
