Sony had a good relationship with IGN, not so sure after these two bad rumours..
maybe that's a hint that it won't be at E3? the fact that Rhode was willing to say it's not cancelled a day before E3 who knows... Sony will probably show Project Beast as their Japan Studios representative game and save The Last Guardian for TGS. maybe Final Fantasy XV will be at the Sony stage as well
the amount of time spent developing the DLC nor the size of the DLC have nothing to do with anything. I'm sorry man but there is no justification for day 1 DLC and if devs choose to put out day 1 DLC it should be free.

they take a break for a few weeks then start preparing a sequel or another game? as far as I know that's how post-development works.
and if they really want to work on DLC that much then at least make it worthwhile. take your time and release it months after the inital game released. if they want to keep the DLC small and release it day one that's fine , but it should be free.

many people didn't like some of the gameplay decisions SE made with FFXIII but you really understood why they were made once you got to the latter regions of the story and also while playing side missions. the game really shined when the opponents were difficult, so it was a real pity that you had to get to Gran Pulse before the game showed any signs of difficulty, where most people were already turned off.
also think the game suffered from being ported to 360, where subs...
