well, Square Enix & Crystal Dynamics pissed MANY people off. they burned a crapload of bridges that unfortunately may never be built again regarding this game only.
what a mess! hope other studios/publishers learn from their mistake!
being a fanboy is a profession?
@Kavork
what if there wasn't anything Microsoft did that deserved congratulations? which is a good argument because, you know, Microsoft haven't really haven't done many things worth congratulating? (well at least imo)
you must deserve praise, not just receive it willy nilly... no one can argue with that.
Microsoft had nothing but the Tomb Raider announcement. they didn't even need a conference for the content they showed.
apart from Tomb Raider there weren't any megatons
1/8th of the PS3 sales in just 9 months. 'grats Sony
twitter is even worse. this backfired on Crystal Dynamics so badly
two completely different things.
Tomb Raider has always been a "PlayStation franchise" and to this day most of its fans are playing on PlayStation. the prequel to Rise of the Tomb Raider was on PS4 and sold best on PS4. it's only right that those fans who continually support the game (since the 90s) deserve every other game in the franchise no?
No Man's Sky is a brand new game by a new developer with no fanbase on any platform.
<...
don't think it's a timed exclusive mainly because it's in no way worth angering so many potential customers just for a few months of exclusivity on the worst selling platform. if this game indeed is exclusive then wow, not sure what they were smoking over at Crystal Dynamics... or maybe they just didn't forsee such a bad reaction to the news.
people are freaking pissed on twitter... man I haven't seen a reaction like this to gaming related news since the mess Microsoft were going through in May/June last year
twitter is usually a good gauge of (and best place to get) the common consensus and it seems as though Crystal Dynamics just lost a boat load of customers. they should have told PS4 gamers that the sequel to Tomb Raider will be exclusive to Xbox One before putting TR:DE on sale...
what a ...
if it was Dark Souls 3 I'd understand why you'd be concerned about the lack of blocking and magic, but it's a spiritual successor...
absolutely. can't believe you're getting disagrees it's just like the Xbox One reveal all over again where everyone knew the policies were terrible apart from Xbox fans who decided to stick up for and defend those policies.
Xbox fans need to realise that yes in the short term it's great but if they support this shit in their droves then everyone will get screwed over.
you have a point, but that doesn't mean PS+ as it is won't be missed if it were to be broken apart by publishers.
PS+ right now is perfect. everyone wins, and everything is under one roof, under one price. it's an excellent accessory and if you are a PlayStation gamer you'll understand how much value it adds to your console.
Microsoft may have just opened Pandora's Box by allowing EA to do this. I see how it benefits them in the short term...
CoDception
that's N4G's fault for adding "hopeful" there people are just clicking on the options for "for sure" or "hard to tell"
why are people comparing PSNow to EA Access? two completely different things.
asking gamers to pay another $30 on top of the PS+ $50/$60 is steep for basically the same thing... PS+ gives you a wide variety of publishers over 3 different platforms (PSV/PS3/PS4) for $60 while for half that you only get EA titles and discounts on one platform...
Microsoft agreed to this plan as a shortcut method of bringing Xbox services on par with PS+
even freaking Kisame is in on N4G now ahahaha!
I heard this dude made accounts for Sakura etc. as well? LMAO
I remember when this guy had the audacity to claim he wasn't an Xbox fanboy ahahaha
to be fair Microsoft shareholders don't give two craps about what happens to Xbox... it doesn't make money, it has never performed admirably, it's never had a clear vision in years... it's just there.
just to show you how much they don't care MSFT share price is at its highest in 12 years while Xbox One (and to some degree 360) has been failing. their shareholders if anything would probably like to see Xbox sold so Microsoft can focus resources on more imp...
but why do Microsoft still have problems with communication? like cmon this mess should never have happened in the first place when will they ever learn!
also don't see why Phil Spencer deserves props Microsoft hierarchy were also parading the game as a full exclusive no?
