Sony announced Project Morpheus and PSNow before E3. those are massive announcements, bigger than anything Microsoft has announced in the past 6 months, and bigger than anything Microsoft will announce at E3 so I'm not quite sure what more you want?
Microsoft seem as though they'll have a good E3 but people are way overhyping it. won't be as good as the Microsft Cult are claiming
imagine 512 players per map... that would be the most insane game ever
IT WAS NEVER AN MMO
why don't people realise this? Bungie are always really reluctant to call it an MMO. it has MMO like features but is not an MMO!
apart from Persona 5 what other big Japanese games are coming soon? nothing from Namco Bandai, nothing from SE, nothing from Capcom... or am I mistaken? so that probably explains the lacklustre sales
to be fair to Square Enix, since they re-revealed it as Final Fantasy XV we've been getting tons of updates on a very regular basis like every game should. so that's a definite sign that it will be releasing sooner rather than later.
during the Versus XIII days we'd go more than a year without a single update. at one point I remember it was about 18 months without an update.
From Software, with good leadership, can turn into the best studio in the world. soooo much talent there
wow this game is getting some really great reviews that's reaaly good on the devs who made it! :)
I honestly didn't understand why Sony were pushing indies soooooo much but it's really starting to show, with more still coming on.
not at all surprised by this post.
they do care because they're always going on about how DX12 will bring monumental gains. before that it was Cloud, dGPU etc. in fact some believed everything that came from MisterXMedia's blog so there's that.
if I were an Xbox fan I wouldn't care just as long as Microsoft brought the games but imho there's nothing particularly interesting on that platform for me (maybe Halo 5 & Sunset Overdrive) so idk
not sure why you're getting disagrees.
360 has been barren since 2009 and year after year we saw the same shit at E3: Gears, Halo, CoD, Fable, Forza. but tbvh Microsoft did have a decent E3 last year.
I'm happy for Xbox fans though. water can taste like the best drink in the world after a long, barren drought. enjoy it!
I'd also advise Microsoft fans to be very careful. Microsft have lied so damn much over the past 18 months and ...
definitely Killzone. KZSF2? KZ4? who knows.
but I like how Sony use/d VITA/PSP as a "B team" kinda thing. if you're a small studio they give you one of their IPs to work on for PSP/VITA and if you prove yourself there, they then give you a full game on the main console.
also interesting to see how Sony are more willing to give their smaller studios a chance on the flagship console this gen. this didn't happen too often on PS3, probably due t...
it's no coincidence that Microsoft have been dropping big announcements in the past few weeks parallel to the poor Xbox One numbers being outed.
I do agree about the whole E3 thing, it's always better to make a big announcement with many people watching of course, but Microsoft couldn't afford to just sit there and let the Xbox One crumble, they had to do something (Sunset Overdrive reveal, Halo 5 reveal, dis-Kinect etc.), especially since Titanfall hype is pretty...
it's probably the quickest way of generating hype for Xbox One. a big announcement will always create buzz, no matter how it's packaged.
you have to admit though, the fact that it isn't topping pre-order charts immediately after MS delivered news intended in causing a swift reaction, is concerning. although unbundling Kinect is a long-term solution, Microsoft were most definitely looking for a quick, short-term reaction in the pre-order charts. something "to hold on to"; some proof that people were actually waiting for a price drop, and not avoiding the console altogether.
remember that Wii U def...
there's an incredibly small market for backwards compatibility. I can't remember the name of it but an independent study was done about a year ago and found that less than 2% (somewhere around there) of all gamers actually care about backwards compatibilty.
Sony would have to sell it for a crazy price like $800 just to break even. it's just not worth it, for Sony nor the consumer (no one would pay that sort of $$$)
it's not hate, it's not criticism. people just don't think it's good enough for purchase and/or people just don't know about it.
calling it Wii U was by far the worst decision. the idea was great, trying to associate it as much as possible with the (success of) Wii but that backfired badly. that plan would've worked had the casuals still been interested in Wii but now, completely uninterested in Wii, Wii U just sounds like a peripheral to the casuals. ...
LOL!
@UltimateMaster
I think Microsoft have pretty much written-off this gen. as in, they've abandoned their vision for the console and how it fits into the Microsoft philosophy. main objective now is to make sure it doesn't bomb and make sure they maximise revenue from the console. it's a disaster for them right now.
best they can do now is learn from their mistakes and come back strong when designing Xbox Two. their visions and promises have long van...
this is actually a great idea, a lot of people in school/university would love this.
I can go 3 months without playing because I'm so overwhelmed by coursework
doubt it's Battlefront 3 because it's not even EA's IP. Microsoft would have to go all the way up to Disney to negotiate an exclusive deal and Disney bought LucasArts to milk as much money out of the multi-billion dollar Star Wars license as they can.
I'd cry if it were Mirror's Edge 2.
