"looks like i gotta take back my copy and buy this one."

Precisely what I did yesterday...Too bad for EB Games that they don't price-match.

I did a double-take when I saw the flyer yesterday morning, and zoomed for BB's online ordering...admittedly, I would've passed up on a DualShock...but $20 was too good to pass up (for ANY wireless controller.)

Gotta admit and eat my words of passed postings by admitting that Prologue is funner with some vi...

"Just wait till you try to use the gt40 in professional mode with no assists..."

Yeah, I got that very same rude awakening upon trying out my shiny new Dodge Viper...the slightest over-throttle instantly has you dancing all over the track.

God, how I wish I had even at least a set of pedals right now. Funny thing is, I can't seem to find a happy medium: Professional is at times way to over-bearing with the gamepad, and Standard doesn't feel real or challe...

Good point about the 360...I imagine it's got something to do with the PS3's technology (peripheral synchronization).

Nope, haven't tried the new guitar...nor have I heard of it till now...but I sure am interested thanks to this story.

I personally have no patience, and must also agree that it got the job done, and was fair to navigate...at least from point they finally integrated the L1 & R1 buttons for page-flipping.

Still, it was relatively static and limited, and did not justify the greatness and sleek of the PS3.

That said, I eagerly look forward to what tomorrow brings.

That was my first question to myself...man, I so despise that Rock Band guitar strictly for that reason...such an otherwise-fabulous peripheral hindered by such a massive Achilles heel of a strum bar.

Actually, I originally thought it was broken, until the replacement EA sent me made me realize that it was actually the nature of it's bonehead design.

Gotta definitely check this one out...unless of course, those scoundrels at Activision finally mans up and allows Sony...

I've gotta get some much-needed sleep, but here are some abbreviated interview highlights for the curious-minded:

-All technological requirements to render collision in GT5 are already in place and therefore technically not difficult to implement in the future.

-The possibility that GT5 may allow the customization and trading of vehicles "a la" Forza Motorsport

-Episodic content (i.e., updates) may be possible in GT5 although they are currently...

and let's all contribute and get this poor schmuck a tripod...or at least an empty shoebox to place the camcorder on.

That camera weaved, zoomed and lost focus so many times, I now qualify as the official mascot for seasickness.

I'm gonna go toss my cookies now, thank you.

Make sure you've got Port 9392 port-forwarded/opened on your router.

Your PS3 needs this port open in order to communicate through the internet.

Great update...I wonder whether the added control customization is a hint that Sony will soon be opening the floodgates to more PSOne titles in the near future.

By the way and FYI:
Contrary to the article, you can already shut down Remote Play while keeping your PS3 on, which I currently use it religiously. I often remotely enter Folding@Home and immediately hit the PSP's 'Quit Remote Play' even before F@H finishes loading up.

On the PS3 side, the TV screen w...

Yeah, I bought the title at Christmas, and it's since been installed on my PC virtually unscathed.

Well, not true: I managed to swim through the burning wreckage and to the building, and down the elevator, and save the game.

Even during those meaningless five-ten minutes, I got a sense of it being a beautiful, intriguing game. The 'Under the Sea' background music was a nice added touch.

I'm almost scared to delve into it, because I have a feeling it'...

You said it...I'll cry if my first-batch, feature-rich 60-gigger konks out on me.

Fortunately, there's not even remotely any sign of that happening yet...even with the week-long Folding@home marathons having occurred over the past year-and-a-half.

And in case you're wondering:

Yes, I CAN INDEED smel-ell-ell-elll...what the PS3 is cookin'. ;)

Geez, you've been drinking again, haven't you?

Seriously man, it's clearly becoming a dangerous obstruction in your life.

Fret not; there is help.

I can't help but think of that French actor Jean Reno every time I see him.

It's JeanTA4!

BTW: Lollipops. Um, yup. That'll do it for me. Honorable mention to the underrated, yet highly lickable and suckable Popsicle stick. ;)

EDIT: Any reason why my added images don't show up??? Oh well, that was a waste of otherwise quality Photoshop time.

OK then. Plan B:

Here's Nico:

I'm with you...I've been purposely avoiding all the screenshots and story descriptions.

I figured that I'll get to experience it first-hand when I - and get this - actually play the game.

Yeah. I'm just a wild and crazy guy that way. ;)

My two Sixaxis' suit me just fine for the time being (TBH, the only force-feedback device that's got my attention is that sweet Logitech G25 racing wheel), but I'm just curious:

How's the battery life on those? Do you need to charge often, or battery life somewhat comparable to the Sixaxis?
