GT3 was the only GT to get bundled. It sold over 14 million.
GT - 10.80 million
GT2 - 9.30 million
GT4 - 10.50 million
Prologues sell 4-5 million

It took 6 months for Gears 2 to reach 5 million. It took MGS4 12. Either way, they're at 5 million, are they not?

They were listing 5 out of the top 10 best-selling exclusives on each, minus Halo 3 cuz it's obvious (as they pointed out) that there isn't a game close to it right now.... you couldn't tell?
Basically what they're trying to point out is that, out of the top 10 best-selling on both, most of them can be matched together as equal in sales.
Like "this #4 best-selling can match this #3 best-selling" and such. Therefore, it's clear that the best-selling games on...
Having Halo 3 sell more than any 360 or PS3 exclusive doesn't mean the 360 sells more games than the PS3 in general. Look at the rest of the list and see for yourself.
MGS4 is over 5 million.
Gears 2 sold the same.
Gears 1 is on PC.
Gears 1 isn't exclusive

SCEJ and SCEA have been disagreeing on things since the beginning of this generation. SCEA wanted to try bringing in some more casual games and SCEJ just kept ignoring. It's part of the reason why Phil Harrison supposedly left.
MS was probably trying to get the rebound in the US by catering to SE. That's probably some of the reason why FFXIII was exclusive in Japan but not the US.
