but dude- that is the entire point of the Wii - it in general offers no depth to it - it is pick up and play for a while and leave it be, that's how it has got the non gamer crowd - that and a controller that does not look as intimidating as the generic two stick gamer pad. who knows though? Prototyoe could be better than GTA - rockstar are taking a huge risk with pretty much everything about the new game and it could bomb - we don't have a magical crystal ball that we can see the future with.....
I think that they are too different types of games - prototype is a kind of more like a hyper-crackdown type game and should be compared to that game rather than GTA.
gta is rooted in a much more 'realistic' sandbox with a relatively real storyline - a game like prototype is about a genetically modified dude that can morph parts of his body. Its like comparing gears of war to devil may cry.

actually odion, you are wrong on that front - this was envisioned originally as a console game - the creator was quite clear on that on one of major nelson's podcasts.

Look guys - the reviews are all someone's opinion on a game.
And to be honest with you everyone is different, so the best person to go with is yourself. Rent it/buy it whatever and try for yourself, if you like it, great, if not then trade it or return it. Go with what you think, not someone else.
IMO, it looks really interesting, so does lair too - so I will be picking both of them up to see what they are like.

I agree there has always been a trend where the PAL releases have been pushed back, but more recently the release schedule hasn't been that bad - well Ninty aside, the gits how does it take for trauma centre wii to be released over here - nearly 8 frieaking months man.
