In the US, not surprised that it's close. A lot of 360 gamers are comfortable in the Xbox ecosystem and are loyal to the Xbox as a result.
WW, it's a different story, as PS4 is leading by a good margin, and it's bound to grow when the PS4 launches in Japan and other countries.
The PS4 is even sold out of back-orders at this point. They're gone through Jan. 5th, FYI.
It's pretty obvious which console you should get. The one which appeals to you more.
Launch titles are virtually meaningless when it comes to getting a console going forward. Look into 2014 and 2015 and decide which console has games that appeal to you more. Also keep in mind the advantages one has over the other. Do you have a diverse library of games and enjoy indie titles and JRPGs? Get a PS4. Are you a primarily FPS gamer and use your console for lots of media purpose...
You can slap the titles WaW, MW3, or Ghosts on a CoD game, but it's still the same old formula year after year. This has been thrown into sharp relief with Ghosts, who re-used cut scenes in SP and WHOLE MAPS in MP. It's just a rehash that they make you pay $60 ($110 if you want DLC) for the same old thing.
I think they should just go the way of Battlefield and give development to one studio, preferably Treyarch, since leauge play was a blast and the guns don't fee...

Well it looks like the Xbox is on it's last stand. If Titanfall can't save the X1, PS4 is going to dominate.
Why is PS3 the best console of the year? Because of the GAMES, not the media streaming or other throw-ins.

Agreed, it was also a great idea to just give them all the Amazon and their stores. No need to worry about supplying PS4s to each individual chain, just let Amazon do it for you. Saves money and hassle.

EA deserves every last bit of this backlash.
Forcing DICE to release a game early that was a buggy, unplayable mess was bad enough. What made it truly sickening was that they KNEW this game was going to bomb, and they sold their stock and pulled that golden parachute to safely float away, leaving the rest of us to dig ourselves out. Anti-Consumerism at it's finest.
EA can't be trusted, and they deserve to be treated as such.
I completely respect what they're doing, and it's a great thing that they're spreading awareness about gun violence.
But I think they're unintentionally demonizing video games, saying they're the root of the problem. I've played Call of Duty for years, and I'm a pretty quiet guy. If anything, it's more about parents not caring about what games their children play. If a parent believes that their kid a mature enough to handle a violent game like...

Really looking forward to GR2 and FFX. Hopefully Freedom Wars can get a localization over here, as well as Digimon Cyber Sleuth, these games look awesome, and I'd rather play these kinds of games on the go, IMO.
