I have to disagree with you there.
Even as a new IP, Infamous 1&2 sold 4.25 million copies combined.
Now that it's an established IP, and due to the PS4 riding high, and the large install base that is upcoming, I expect it to sell systems. Not that the PS4 will need it though, it sells itself.
Heck, I could just find a used 360 on the cheap on Ebay. Titanfall looks like a fun game, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to shell out $500 for it.
Unfortunately, the trolls and fanboys (Polygon) got to it first.

I know, I want one from the local Gamestop in my area. They're not sure when they get them, but they re-stock items M-F from 10-12. That's the most awkward time ever since I'm stuck in school by then. The only thing I can pre-order is a ridiculous $800 bundle from Gamestop, or another $699 bundle from AAFES. Curse these stores taking advantage of my need for next-gen.

The Wii U has an advantage in that the quality of the stream is the best.
The Shield holds the title for best resolution (720p wireless and 1080p 60fps tethered).
The Vita beats the other two in that it has its own dedicated games and can be taken pretty much anywhere.
You're supposed to buy a Vita for the GAMES, not just the remote play.
Still, it's a pretty sweet feature. Battlefield on the crapper? YES.
Meh. I hate Ghosts. You die too quickly, and a lot of the score streaks are too overpowered (Dogs take 5 shots to kill lmao). Not to mention most guns are complete lasers, and the maps are so huge, there's no positioning. I feel like I just run around until I kill someone or get killed.
I'll probably be maining BO2 until 3Arc's new game comes out.
With all these mandatory installs nowadays, that space is going to fill up QUICK.
Microsoft has time, since there are only a few games on the market as of now, but they need to get started before the backlash gets out of hand.

The only plague to the industry I see are close minded parents that see a shooting on TV automatically blame it on "DA VIDYA GAMEZ," even though they're at fault for buying their children those games in the first place. Man up and take responsibility. Sheesh.
