Good article, it's amazing that the 580 can hold it's own against the dual GPU 5970 and the dual card 6870 setups. HAWX 2 isn't even one of the best looking games, bump up Tessellation in Metro and you'll definitely see a difference. Also check out 3DMark 11 videos, Tessellation is truly amazing.

3D is still in it's infancy on console while PC has had 3D since 2008, I would think that 3D optimization for PC would be superior than on the PS3 or 360. 99.9% of people don't even have a 3DTV yet while there are lots of PC gamers with 120MHz monitors and even some with an nVidia 3D Surround setup *drools just thinking about it*.

And yes, I do agree that nVidia should have cards for triple monitor setups, that's the only thing I want from them. one 580 is more than enough to run a triple monitor setup, but if you want triples then you have to put two cards in SLI, that's my only gripe. I don't have a triple...

lolwut?? Price? No. 580 is $499, while the 5970 starts at $700 and goes up to $1000. There is one manufacturer that is selling the 5970 for $499 but it will not stay at that price, they even said it themselves (Sapphire). It also looks like this site handpicked a few benchmarks because from what I've seen, the 580 absolutely dominates the 5970. More than 10% performance over the 5970 in 50% of benchmarks.
