Society right now looks down on anyone that's "different."
Kudos to Bioware to show that maybe people other than the norm play video games. I have nothing wrong with male hugging in DA:O. Will I pursue that path through the game? No. But I won't be surprised if it turns out that way. I just don't really gave a rat's ass as long as the rest of the game comes to standards with other Bioware's games.
They should take a picture of them each standing on a REX with a banner of Microsoft's Red Rings of Death in the background on fire.
Has anyone realized that in Japanese Wii 2 is called Wii Ni??
"hey Bob what's up?"
"Oh nothing just playing with my Wii Ni."
At what you said about TF2, everything IS free. I have not payed a single cent towards that game since it was released. And not only Valve created content and patches that are FREE, it also supports community made maps, mods, and gametypes.
quick examples: counter strike, quake, tf classic, blizzard's starcraft and warcraft franchises. just some off the tip of my head.
A game worth buying a system for is MGS4. I've been thinking of getting a PS3 JUST for that. Along with some stellar 2010 releases for Sony. it looks like Microsoft is going down the drain in terms of games' value.
Your first point is true and applies to many people who own PC. I am very passionate about performance and right now on Counter Strike: Source I get around 200 FPS. Some people aren't willing to go the extra mile and get a super advanced card. But there ARE cards out there.
The nVidia GeForce GTX 280 caps around $700 USD. Personally I would go with nVidia cards because you get better performance than ATI. More bang for your buck.
and on the Samsung monitor, I think there is...
You're right about one thing.
PC games are getting pirated more often nowadays. But if you go to some third world country you'll see just as many pirated xbox 360 and ps3 games. YES it is possible and I have no idea how they do it.
The PC community isn't all just pirating and torrenting. Look at Valve's Steam service. 100% of those games were purchased for and approved. If you play any online game on Steam you'll see that there are many players on the dedicated servers and...
I've been playing PC games for as long as I can remember. Almost every day I log into Steam, chat with my clan and other clan members, and sometimes join groups to play with. There is no shortage of people playing PC games online. I have the hardware to back up pretty much any game, even Crysis but on moderate settings. My nVidia 9800GT is slowly but surely getting older and nVidia is releasing new ones soon.
When games come out for multiplatform, the PC usually recieves the del...
HA
OMG epic.
That totally made my week. thanks skittles.
"We know the game we want to make, and especially with Modern Warfare 2, we didn't even show Activision the game until very much later in the development process. Because we want to stay focused, really the only opinion we care about is what our fans think."
IW.... Really??
Apparently not. If they released the information about the no dedicated servers (which is a major game changing decision) then they wouldn't lose about 60% of their fanbase. I give them kudos f...
I'm still playing FFIII for my DS.
I have only bought ONE thing from the avatar marketplace and that was from leftover points. I don't think I'll ever be stupid enough to spend REAL money on FAKE merchandise. My gamer picture isnt even an avatar.. its an icon i got FREE with a game. i think the avatars are pretty pointless but I don't look down on people who use them.
Is the PvP like previous NCSoft games like Guild Wars where you can create a character for the sole purpose of PvP or do you have to go through the grinding and leveling up to get to PvP arenas?
The first one was so weird yet satisfyingly addicting.. in a not good kinda way.
It'll never be Killer 7 though.
This is like, Fallout 3 with vehicles and a human party!!
But I really don't know if i can get 4 people I know to actually PLAY with me.
DICE is just showing some luvin for the PC community.
I for one will be purchasing and playing BC2 because of dedicated servers and fantastic gameplay that was the first Bad Company.
Does MW2 have destructable environments? NO. I thought not... ;)
I think Nintendo has magikal powers if it can pull off those numbers. That's with lesser hardware, lesser graphics, very crappy games, and the rare gems that are oh so unfrequent. Microsoft and Sony both have to step up if they want to EVER get close to Nintendo's numbers. but since this is a discussion on Xbox and PS3, I would have to say that the PS3 is looking far far better than the 360.
PS3 has more bells and whistles than you can shake a stick at. Blu-Ray, Wi-Fi, all that good stu...
I haven't been here long enough to experience what seemed to be the frontline of the console flamewars but from what I read it seems like the arguments got pretty heated.
I guess some articles are complete and utter bull and some actually give meaningful insight into what's happening in the industry. The trick is to determine the fact from fiction. But the amount of "articles" that come up make it hard to determine what to trust.
I have nothing against top...
Agreed! In times like theses Activision is screwing us over not only with the PC components of the game missing but with hefty pricetags.
Do they know America is an a recession? I'd rather spend my money elsewhere and actually get good gameplay/value.
DICE recently made a statement about supporting PC based gamers and that just warms my heart that SOME people actually care about their fans.
Good point! Remember on the GameBoy Advance and the GBA Sp when you tried to play Gameboy Games There was an option to stretch the image or keep it in its original resolutioN? If you stretched it then it would be all blurry and in most cases unplayable, but if you kept it at the same resolution it looked fine. You could switch it on the fly with the R button( I think, this is way back and my memory kinda sucks).
Hopefully Nintendo will encorprate something like this into the new...
