I think you get points for being the first to comment on an article. Not sure what you use those points for though.
This is true and the answer to your question is already yes.
Sounds like somebody's got a case of the Mondays.
Yes, if you don't play games that utilize cross play, this shouldn't affect you. This is more for the people that do play those games.
Think about the kids for a moment. The 5-8 year olds that have no idea about stupid console wars and fanboys. They just want to play games together. What happend to us? :(
I think they will too. Sony is all for the gamers and while the vocal minority here may not see the benefits, the mainstream folks won't understand why they are being left out. Maybe they wont do the minecraft one but I see them doing a 180 on rocket league.
@Septic,
It does seem overly optimistic to me as well especially since MS has stated that they plan on selling more S's than X's. That would put Xbox at around 85-90 towards the end. Really depends on how aggressive they get with their bundles and pricing. They still haven't announced the full bundle details for the X so it will be interesting to see what they do there.
I will be one of them! :)
"Xbox One X is an expensive system designed to appeal to a fairly narrow demographic of gamers who want high quality graphics but do not want to spend money on a high-end PC,"
This thread says otherwise. You don't speak for everyone.
@ultra nova
Except that I'm not waiting for games, the opposite actually. Every year there are at least 5 games that i have to add to my backlog that i probably will never have the time to get through. How many games does everyone play on average each year? Just curious. I'll probably never scratch 5% of the games released this year on xbox so they have plenty of games for me.
MS wants their first vr unit untethered and thats about a year away. I don't blame them either. I'll patiently wait until the tech is ready.
@the sage,
Best place is subjective. MS is giving you 3 options for the 3 different types of customers. The S for main stream , the X for high end console gamers and the pc for high end pc gamers. Sounds like you fall into the third group.
Wow, you can tell this one is a sore spot for him.
titanfall 2 is one of the many games in my x1 backlog so I'll be excited to give it a go at 4k later in the year. I'm just excited that a lot of my back log games are getting patches.
@343_Guilty_Spark haha it's because they are usually the first to troll into every xbox article.
Think of Sid Meier's Pirates and Sid Meier's Civilization. Hopefully you know what those are otherwise I just dated myself.
Yeah but then you have to pay an extra $100-150 for the extra scalper markup. I've been looking for one for about a month now and no luck. I'm in Los Angeles though. Gamestop also throws a bunch of crap into their mandatory bundles to mark up the price an extra hundred dollars.
@HarryPuttaar, You mean fans? Sony had fans in their conference too
This is really interesting. The vapor cooling system is missing from the list though. Wonder how much that piece costs.
You can't really blame Microsoft for the developer targeting what they want to target for their own game. MS gave them a box capable native 4k and the developer gets to decide how to use it. If the one x was another 40% more powerful even that doesn't guarantee 4k if that's now how the developer wants to build it. Does that make sense?
