Joystiq review must have been written by John Snow. He knows nothing! :3
Playing probably the first great JRPG of the generation.
Lost Odyssey.
I partially agree about having cautious optimism because it is a marathon and not a sprint. I mean the PS3 catching up on the 360 after being late a year is our best example but down playing the PS4 achievement, that's harsh.
I can't believe Ars did that.
@lelo2play
I think its asking to much for the PS4 or any console to sell 3 million in its first month. There will be demand and supply issues to consider and I think a lot of people considered that 1 million pre-order to be a combination of NA + EU but this is only NA not counting the pre-orders in EU.
Actually I think that prison like environment is the reason that could have drove the intern(s) to do this. I'm not saying everyone did it but we cannot discount this from not happening. I mean Foxconn is just the worse.
Sony should really look long and hard, if they want to continue the majority of their production from Foxconn, which I hope will drastically lessen in the future.
I actually hope this is true. So Sony would stop doing business with Foxconn. Foxconn doesn't deserve business from anyone.
Guys, relax this is expected. Don't forget there are millions of PS4 that are in the wild now. Tens of thousands PS4 with issues will happen at this early stage. It would be impossible not to.
As I have explained before when the shipment constraints are met and the manufacturing matures, we will see less and less of this.
As long as its not RRoD failure rate numbers then everything should be fine.
Dude you should have just went with the Antonio Banderas GIF. XD
Guys relax, there is no need to argue. There will be issues experienced by some early adopters, its impossible not to encounter any at this stage.
Once the supply constraints are met and the manufacturing matures, we will see less and less of this.
The only important thing is, the failure rate is not at RRoD level. Which I doubt will ever happen for both the PS4 and X1.
Baba originally said he was focusing on the PS3. I guess he meant ToS:C and ToX2 for that and now he is talking about next-gen which is understandable.
Well back in 2011 there was talk that Tabata may continue Parasite Eve on a console. So maybe there is a slight hope there but Suikoden well... as it stands we will never see the True Rune Saga completed because its original writer doesn't want to return to Konami and Team Suikoden has been disbanded, which is a shame.
I was really hoping for Zone of the Enders 3 -_-
^You have no empathy towards your fellow gamers. lol!
But with millions of shipment, tens of thousands won't be a far-fetch estimate. As long as we don't see RRoD issue numbers. The PS4 and X1 should be fine.
Welcome to the new phase of the console war. Resolution out, Failure Rate in.
I doubt we will see massive failure rates with the PS4 and X1 like what we saw with the RRoD but since the console war is so hot right now. I'm pretty sure, every single brick report will be thrown out of proportion, just for the sake of getting a one up against the other fanbase.
The Resolution war has now officially moved to the Higher Failure Rate war.
^What do you mean no hardware failures? What electronic device that is mass produce doesn't have failures? That's impossible not to happen.
Thank you, I was looking for that ^^
Not sure if Bamco would do that but there is a PSP version. Of course, its in Japanese too. ^^;
Well we cannot discount hardware failures, this is after all launch consoles. As long as the failure rate is not abnormal like what happened with the RRoD issue, then I think the PS4 and X1 will do fine.
Welcome to the new age of gaming media where they no longer check for facts.
