But all joking aside, the reason Sony is getting it done at this early part of the game is because they learned from their mistakes with the PS3.
From price point to the messaging. They did the simple things that put their product in a good light and sometimes that's what you need to have a good start.
You got to remember those countries that the X1 skipped are not exactly Xbox territories. So it may not be a big game changer as we would like to think but of course, I ain't discounting the increase in sales they would bring.
Also, don't forget 50% of the Xbox 360 sales are in NA and right now Sony has a slight lead there with the PS4. So MS would probably build a strategy on trying to win NA first and worry about the other regions later.
You need to go back a few more years and realize how ill-informed your comments are.
VGChartz was almost like a bible for the Xbox fans when the 360 was killing the PS3. Now the shoe is on the other foot and it's gets discredited. smh.

Well my Sony Trinitron is still alive and kicking for almost a decade now. So I think longevity is not a question with Sony or Samsung. Samsung just had a more aggressive price point than Sony and it shows.
^That would depend on age and what country you are from. Sony is not just cutting jobs in one country, it will be world wide. So it may not be easy as we would like to believe.
But all that sad news aside, Sony should have done this type of restructuring years ago. It's like finally, their strategy makes sense.

Kojima has a tendency of being overly ambitious and I think Ground Zeroes being short is a casualty of what he is trying to do. I can't remember finishing an MGS game for the first time in just 2 hrs, usually that happens after multiple playthroughs.
