Eurogamer has one thing wrong. The 2 million is only PS3 shipments. The PS2 has already been discontinued before the end of Q1.
Loeb must be having a party right now with the Picture division making a huge chunk of the losses with the TV division once again leading the bleeding.
To be fair, Sony's TV division was in the red again this 2nd qtr. and in a bad way but their Mobile Phone division went up 39%.
It would be a miracle if the PS4 to be profitable at launch with a lower price and a better tech. Now its all about how they can monetize and lower the production cost. If Sony makes a big splash with the PS4 then they should see early returns from it.

I guess we shall just have to wait and see...
He has a point but he is also down playing the benefits of owning multiple studios that will make exclusive games for your console.
There is a reason MS increased their 1st Party Studios for this upcoming gen.
If not Open Office, you can always go with Google Docs. I think Steam OS will be successful in the consumer sector because of its focus on gaming
Not saying it will kill Windows (that's impossible) since Windows will more than likely remain the preferred OS by the business sector. Which where they get the chunk of their money anyway.
These kind of talk will make the Steam OS more desirable for gamers in the future. Sometimes not saying something is preferable.
Maybe I can understand the no DLNA support but no MP3 support? That should have been available at the get go.
I'll be keeping mine besides there are still games coming out on the PS3 that I want.
Well at least its only 300mb. My crappy net should be able to download that in half an hour.
Guh, 3rd world internet infrastructure -_-
You expect the gaming community to believe that? You got the deal from NFL like it was nothing. Its just hard to believe this is coming from one of the biggest, billion dollar company in the world.
Well I guess even official findings can't save the internet from people in denial.
Oh I know, lets wait for the retail release. :D
Edit: But all jokes aside, its not like the X1 version is bad or anything. This is not like Bayonetta level that happened between the 360 and PS3.
I still have Tales of Symphonia: Chronicles and Xillia 2 next year.
The Fabula Nova Crystallis games (FFXIII series, Type-0 and FFXV) are not set in the same Universe, they only share the same lore. Which is the only thing that connect the games together.
Like the Ivalice Alliance games that came before.
Don't worry Adam, I feel for you. Of course, you can afford the consoles and I can't. lol!
People should really stop underestimating the Big N. Ninty is like the savvy veteran, always keeping something that can surprise you.
I think they miss quoted Baba. I think he meant releasing the game earlier in 2014 not an early 2014 release date because we already have Tales of Symphonia: Chronicles for that.
But yes, release ToX2 as soon as possible :D
It has been confirmed that DS4 will work with the VTV but I would guess that the games that uses the touchscreen and rear touch panel of the Vita will need patches for those features to work on the DS4 and yes I agree with your last statement.
I believe Shu has already confirmed by Twitter that you cannot use the Vita handheld as a controller for the VTV since I guess they are practically the same machine inside.
It has been reported that you can use R3/L3 as a replacement for the touchscreen functions but I would assume this would be solved with the DS4 touchpad and if the games gets patched to so the gimmicks can work with the dualshock controllers.
Anything less of Yakuza 5 or Shenmue 3 will be an expected disappointment to me.
Since "guts" doesn't exactly go with Sakura Taisen, Valkyria Chronicles or Skies of Arcadia.
@beaver
Dude your comment reminded me of this banned "Original Xbox" commercial. ROFL!
