Sir with all due respect, if you are familiar with the franchise or have done your research. You should know all main Persona titles goes to a console first before getting an enhanced port version on a handheld.
Now, if down the line we do not see a Persona 5 Platinum on the Vita or it gets released on the 3DS or iOS instead. Then your claim can be justified but for now it remains invalid.
Besides I think you have no idea how popular rhythm games are in Japan...
Well winter in Japan is between Dec and Feb. So if the game releases in Japan early 2014 (Jan or Feb) then we can see this game within the 2014 calendar. All recent Persona games have a 6 months difference between the Japan and NA releases (and another few more months for EU). Edit: Of course if the game releases in December 2014 in Japan then its 2015 for the rest of us.
Also Atlus did say that its business as usual. So if Sega does let Atlus continue to do their own thing t...
Well at least people won't be disappointed when his next game remains in a prolonged vaporware status.
Like the saying goes "What is dead may never die" XD
What you expect this to be canon? Any Persona fan would know the situation with the P3 hero in the correct chronology and him being on this game would make this a spin-off.
All you guys can disagree, all you want but this game is cute. :3
@dcj# (below)
Nothing wrong with it being on the 3DS and besides its being developed by the Etrian Odyssey team not by the Persona team which is doing P5.
Looks like the JRPG genre is making some noise at the tail end of the generation. The proclaimed dead genre is making its comeback.
I think Sega is trying to milk the dancing game market in Japan. They own Hatsune Miku after all and it seems they are trying to snag some Persona fans into the genre as well.
No, its not. The hero of P3 being present already proves this.
P5 and P4A2 are the ones part of the canon.
OMG! Take my cold hard earned cash now!!!
There maybe a good chance that P5 will be added to the PS4 upgrade program. Any content Sony can add on the PS4 is a plus, especially in Japan.
I was expecting this ever since they released the Arcade version. P4A was one of my favorite Fighting games. :)
BOOM!!!! Now that's how you end a show.
Well at least it was a cute spin-off.
Why do I have the feeling we will see a Hatsune Miku and Persona 4 cross over in the future.
^ Not sure about Japan. That country has really become handheld centric and there are no big Japanese games at launch but Europe has a potential to have a big launch day for the PS4.
Edit: Unless Yakuza Ishin is available at launch in Japan.
Consumers, right now with limited and controlled flow of supply both Sony and MS can track the sales output from the retailers.
1 million total in 13 territories is highly doable. I mean the competition did it in NA alone. Hopefully we get a breakdown per country.
GT6 Epilogue confirmed for the PS4 because Prologue has already been used on the PS3 XD
Panzer Dragoon Saga type RPG? Why, yes. Yes, please coz we all know Sega ain't gonna do it. So somebody else should.
Yes, if Sony came back from a disaster that is the PS3 launch (bad PR, even worse price) and being a year behind the competition. MS should be able to do it too, especially since they are still strong in NA & UK.
@jamespetergriff
But the Persona 3DS game is a Sega move not an Atlus one. Its being made by the Etrian Odyssey team.
Same with the dancing game which is being made by the Project Diva team.
I do understand what you are saying about the Vita deserving more but the situation you are trying to imply about Atlus moving away from the Vita is just not the case.
Edit: This is more like Sega trying to milk a popular franchise by cr...
