If it's exclusive, it doesn't matter if it's 3rd party or not. ???
Of course, the only GUARANTEED exclusives are 1st party games....perhaps that's what you were trying to say. :/
...but they won't replace mine, unless it breaks, and it would need to be soon. Do you really think that's an indefinite policy for early adopters????
The thing is, this video proves nothing anyway. Pandemic is now owned by Bioware, and they share a lot of resources. They're working on other projects for the 360 anyway, so that would explain the dev kits and controllers laying around, EVEN IF Merc. 2 wasn't coming to 360.
....this guy reminds me of that dumbass, who thinks PC MMO's will bring about the end of consoles, after this generation.
...now my 360 has only been out of warranty for 1 month, instead of 9. :\
The guy never really said anything with conviction, so what's the point?
By the time it has it's first price drop, in 6 months to a year, (which Sony can't do for a couple years), there will be several 360-exclusive games that will appeal to the Japan market. A $250-$300 Premium console, and several quality Japan-centric exclusives....they won't be able to ignore it anymore.
He's even gone on record, a FEW times, saying he prefers the 360 over the PS3, and would focus primarily on it. 'Quake 4' was just a "quickie" to give 360 owners a little ID love; this game, and Wolfenstein, have been in the works for PC/360 for A WHILE.
People just don't seem to follow gaming closely, or even do research, enough to post relevant "news".
With 'Assassin's Creed', I'd been telling people for almost a YEAR, that there was no way it would remain a PS3 exclusive, and then so many people acted amazed when it was announced for the 360.
In the "Top 10 PC games for 2007" thread. This is no "rumor"...it's a FACT.
Anyone who can read at a 3rd grade level, would see my first post as being ANYTHING BUT praise for SC:DA. I'm sure there are a few here who remember my complaints about the game when it first came out; I rented it, played to the second mission, and took the piece of crap back for an exchange.
In fact, I've not liked ANY of the SC games, so far...at least not enough to support/praise them. MOST of what Ubisoft makes is mediocre....Rainbow Six:Vegas is the first shooter they've made...
To be honest, I don't see how corporations can justify the million$ they pump into ads, when sales are really the only true indicator of a product's success/failure. I especially don't understand how established brand names, like Pepsi and Coke, for instance, can justify a need for the BILLION$ they spend on advertising; it's not like you can force your consumers to fill out a questionaire, stating how/when/why you bought a product.
'Heavy Rain' isn't a PS3 exclusive either. It's multiplatform: PC/360/PS3/PSP.
...and I'm highly annoyed that I have to share oxygen and a planet with someone who thinks like this. :o
...like I said, Sony's just getting MS old leftovers....6 months to a year later. That's hardly the same as losing an exclusive, before it even releases.
MS keeps stealing Sony's exclusives, before they release....while Sony can only manage to get 6 month, to year old leftovers. ;)
That was just a stupid comparison for the author to make...PERIOD. R:FOM can't be a "system seller", because by the time SONY has enough PS3's mfd, and on the market, this game will have been forgotten about.
I hope the PS3 version is better than the 360 version (XBOX version is even said to be better), because what I played was crappy.
I honestly doubt they'll improve anything over the 360, since what was broken was the A.I., camera, lack of freedom in some missions, using a last-gen engine, and horrible online. The SixaxiS implementation is just gimmicky bullsh*t, that won't enhance the experience at all.
The author OBVIOUSLY knows nothing about the games industry....and likely doesn't play them himself. MMO's are not the "future" of gaming....they're just one facet, which millions of gamers don't/can't even enjoy or bother with.
Of the 2 new consoles, Wii is the CLEAR winner, both in innovation (compared to the PS3), and in sales.
