The low-end, inferior tech of the PS2 has hurt the overall quality of games (especially cross-platform) since the XBOX released in 2001. Regardless of sales figures (which simply followed the ridiculous installed base of the POS2), the XBOX games always looked/played better, and had superior online play. Period. Lost Planet is one of the most amazing looking/playing games on LIVE....not even Gears is as impressive, if you consider the size of the maps, and how much more can be going on at one time.

If that's true, you are a damned FOOL. Matchmaking is just for achievement hounds, who don't care who they're playing with, as long as they're getting kills and wins to brag about......which pretty much sums up every gamer who still plays HALO 2 religiously, and thinks like you do.

1. No, that IS NOT what matchmaking is. Matchmaking is designed to keep the playing field level, by pitting people of similar skill, age, etc. against each other. If you start a private match, and invite friends, YOU DON'T NEED matchmaking.
2. No, by "friends", I actually mean REAL friends...people I've known for years, and even call on a frequent basis. I've got friends in Guam, Mexico, Canada, Australia, UK, and Germany....and I've not played ANY of them on Halo...

The PC/360 versions were in development at the same time as the PS3 version, with the PS3 version lagging behind because the dev kits came much later. The "rumors" of AC running on a 360 during E3 2005 were true ; when Sony couldn't/wouldn't cough up the $$ Ubi wanted for exclusivity, they announced it would indeed be multiplatform. That is why the FIRST EVER, and ONLY gameplay footage of AC so far, was shown EXCLUSIVELY on a 360, at X06 last September; the 360 version was MUCH f...
